So I love porter and Peterson. But i don't like how we let witherspoon and maulet go. I felt we should have gave the money to Sutton to making it an easy contract.

Peterson age doesn't bother me. But in a couple years he just won't be playing. But, Anyhow why not go get Marcus Peters?

We can make the contract happen with all these current moves.

Why bring in a veteran that wants to start, but we will have him as the 3rd or 4th CB? You don't want those bad vibes in the locker room, good chemistry is important.

I'm not sure Peters would be a third or fourth corner. I'm guessing he would start along with Peterson, with Wallace playing in the nickel and Porter slowly working his way into more and more playing time as the season goes along. That said, I just don't see it. I don't think he will come cheaply enough to make sense, especially given that he would likely only remain a starter for one season.

Is Porter is even going to start? The buzz already has him as so. I feel that Wallace will be the starter until Porter has taken and has proven NFL snaps. Porter will be critiqued due to all the hype, pomp and circumstance. They need him to step up and step up quick. Hopefully he does.

True he was a home grown talent. He will be missed. But I feel that they didn't want to pay him the amount he received from the Lions. A loss for sure.

Marcus Peters would be a nice addition but I don't see it happening.

I love how some fans have already anointed some of these guys as starters. I’m sure Dan moore is just going to lay down and give up his job. Pre draft reports had Porter jr as a high boom or bust guy with potential to develop into a quality starter in 2-3 years

Dan Moore has ALREADY laid down, he will be rotational, but not the #1 guy this year. Sorry to break the news to you.

we DO have issues in our secondary, it may be the reason we miss the playoffs. LOTS of passing yards coming our way this year!!!

    WOO-HOOO!!!!!!

Porter is penciled in as a starter.
I would hope he performs to that level.

I'd have to have a serious sit down with a guy like Peters. (Maybe they have, or at the very least, got all the 4-1-1)
He could help or he could be detrimental.
    There are other options.

And Highsmith and Watt are licking their chops to get to Burrow. The Steelers have good players too.

    Yep.

Bigger?! Sure. Stronger?! Absolutely. Still not up to the basics of his position?! Most definitley.

I do concur with Josh though that the battle between Jones and Moore will be am enticing one.

Regarding the additions of Marcus Peters... if the Steelers were still rocking their Pre 2018 Defense and using mainly to predominately Zone Coverage?! I would have said a resounding yes; doubly so given what Peters age would have been at thr time.

Now?! Hell no. Pittsburgh is going to play some Cover 3 no doubt but the lack of size and length really let Marcus down here. Even if this was not the case, Patrick Peterson is already here and is a superior player despite his age. Another veteran corner is not needed here.

Regarding Joey Porter Jr struggling?! I can imagine he will; especially early on as he is mainly a press style corner who needs a bit more work in Zone Coverage. However, once he has a grasp of the more finite details?!?!.... look out. Porter Jr's physical profile and athletic capabilities should not be overlooked.

JPJ has Pro Bowl level potential; possibly All Pro. Not this season of course but definitley next season barring extreme circumstances.

Maybe if Dan Moore and Jones both look great in camp, they will move Moore to the right side and make Chuks the swing tackle.

Peters seems to get injured often, and he's kind of a knucklehead, not interested in him let's develop the young guys.

Agreed, with Witherspoon gone Peters would be the starter with Peterson and Wallace.

Porter is hopefully not going to start in week 1; as he needs to learn how to keep his hands off of NFL WRs.

That is, Unless Trice blew the doors off everyone last week.

    Look like a false start?

Anyway, Can Moore play RT or somewhere if case Broderick wins LT? Be great if both of them succeeded and were a part of the future.
