Now we see if Benny Snell comes crawling home, lol. JK, I actually would not mind them signing him.

Singed 1 player and released 3 players. Ok, now we will see why they were freeing up cap space when they cut Witherspoon.

Who is better on special teams, Watt or Snell?

Might be Watt, but he brings little else to what they have in camp. Snell is not great but served fine in those few games he was used last year. I guess it comes down to how many they keep, what role they see Heyward in, and if he is good enough is there a place/role for Pottebaum.

I'm surprised about Teague I liked how he closed out some pre-season games by grinding out 4 or 5 yards a carry. But then again he was going against guys that were like him, on their way out of the league.

Honestly it would not have surprised me if he had not made the team depending on how things worked out in camp, it does surprise me he did not make it to camp. If Warren is healthy he is a lock, but are there any guys with with size in camp?

No there isn't. McFarland is 5'8" 208. Behind him is Jason Huntley at 5'9" 195 and Alfonzo Graham at 5'8" 190. Snell is going to have go the Mason Rudolph route and come back hat in hand to take the league minimum.

now we have guys with no experience or very little as backups. plus one less outside LB as well. we shall see how it works out. glad you can gloat now and embellish what i said. if that makes you feel better kudos.

it does save them 2.77 mil. maybe they need money to sign highsmith.

Yea its a head scratcher at this point. Teague was not necessarily getting a spot, but it seemed he fit the position. If you have Najee and Warren as your 1-2, all the other guys are more like Warren at this point. Seems like they would want another guy who wear a D down a bit, and they might have someone in mind, just felt Teague had measurables the others do not have.

Maybe Teague isn't fully recovered from his injury last season, bring back Snell on a vet minimum deal.

You tried to make him out to be more than what he is, a scrap heap scrub. No matter how many times I tried to tell you I knew better, you kept doubling down. It is truly comical that you are trying to make it out to be some big loss. The guy didn't even make it to training camp.
You were wrong, so I get to mock.

I would like to see them sign Van Noy or Kwon Alexander, who would both be huge upgrades over that scrap heap scrub.

Roster looks very good. There are still some LBs and RBs out there if they want. In the least, I think the Highsmith deal gets done.

When your released before the party has even has started that says a lot.

If they bring back any FA (Watt, Snell ect.) it should be at the league minimum.

i agree. i think they have to lock him up next and then see what we have left. there are still some moves they can make to free up money. the three they dumped netted them near 3 mil.. there are still a few of those guys sitting there to gain some more money.

i think it was more about needed money. they will take a few million into the season. they have 11 million now. the savings for crowder and embule was 2.02 mil.. teague was a wash basically for the addition of ndukwe. 750,000. plus those two were in the top 51. teague wasn't and ndukwe won't be. many of these guys are here to get through the preseason. it doesn't mean that they couldn't be brought back to the PS by the time the season starts. so they really only have 7-8 million to play with and highsmith sitting there without a new one. maybe they wait on him until next year and sign someone to a one year deal.
