This is a little sloppy analysis, though not awful
The basic offensive tendencies are what we are.... a mix.
Add in a Rookie, where you tend to spoon feed each week.

As far as running, we sucked at the start of the season.
    a. The Offensive line was struggling early on.
    b. Harris had that foot injury
    c. Tribusky was QB

Somewhere are mid'season, Pickett´s offense started to click. Power run game as we dominated in time of possession.
That´s straight up ´we are running the ball and you can´t stop us.

They want quick drops and get the ball out quick. That can definitely improve.
They will use the rollout more from what I´ve heard.
They will also take more shots, Picken´s and Pickett should start clicking more.

Note. I am not a big fan of Canada.

Apparently there were no audibles allowed in the offense last year either. This may change if Canada has enough trust in KP to call his own plays at the line which could possibly lead to more play action.

Canada is totally allergic to play action, and we know from Muth that there are no hot routes in this offense

The didn’t run play action with Ben because he either wouldn’t or couldn’t

After Ben was gone the PA rate increased

I forget the game that "gnashing maws" refers to... something Hammer, maybe "War Hammer"
Of course I have no idea. My grandkids play the crap out of them.
    I just get killed.

I think the footwork involved was rough on his knees. It's not like they didn't run play action with Roethlisberger in his prime.

    Yes

It seemed like he wasn’t able to bend his knees much to get under center

Hence the reason he couldn’t do a QB sneak

LoL. Did You actually watch Ben play, or is age just catching up to You...He play action all the time His 1st 5 years. They actually stopped, or did it less when Hailey became the OC.

I thought jeh was talking about the latter part of Roethlisberger's career, not all of it. They did go to less play action with Haley because his focus was on getting the ball out of Roethlisberger's hands more quickly, but later it seemed Roethlisberger was just avoiding anything that put pressure on his knees.

Big Ben had a good career here.
I kind of put him in the category of a Dan Fouts, only with rings.

The last 2-years were tough to watch. I thought he should have retired a year sooner.
The team was cap strapped and loaded with age.

He caught a perfect storm to enter the NFL on.
When you have a defense that was actually looking to score TD's and guys like "The Bus" and Deuce pummeling the defensive front 7/8, life is easy.

Ben was a tough guy no doubt.
He added character to this team and Defenses had to account for him.
Canada, so far, is not at the same level of those preceding him. To be honest, I'm glad he wasn't here for the younger version of Ben.

As far as Kenny goes, a lot remains to be seen.
I want them to put pressure on those defenses and when they get in the redzone, score TD's.
