well most of these guys have a college degree supposedly, so hopefully they can get a little better job than that but.......... another thing is not too many 300LB people running at you to do harm in the grocery store either. just sayin. :smiley1::cool:

There is a summer camp near me run by the Sarah Heinz foundation that actually runs 4 two week sessions half boy half girls mostly poor kids

It’s a great organization and a great location

My wife and I anonymously send 4 kids who’s parents can’t afford to send them

It’s cool how it’s done the camp goes to the parents of deserving kids and has the parents tell the kids they are sending them

That way the parents can be heroes and the kids don’t feel like they are there on charity

I volunteered for many years and my brother volunteered as their camp doctor

i remember a couple of weeks a year we would stay at my grandparents house on wheeling island in WV. late 60's early 70's. gma would put us on one of those big city busses in the morning and it would take us to a park about 6-7 miles away for the day camp. they had counselors there to monitor the day's activities. we would swim, hike, go to the zoo, and all types of things they had every day. then the bus would take us back to the island and she would be there waiting to pick us up about 6-8 hr's later. now days if you put your little kid on a bus and sent them to a park you wouldn't see the kid again. sad but true.

There isn't anything official on Kwon Alexander other than a visit yet, right?

Mixed reports that he is expected to be signed but none of the usual suspects are reporting it mostly youtubers wanting to break the story and talk about continued off season moves.

That's what I thought. I imagine he is still going to try to find somewhere that he has a better shot to start, which likely won't happen in Pittsburgh given the team's investment in Holcomb and Roberts.

    Strengths
Flashes an explosive burst and can surprise better overall athletes with his ability to get upfield. Has a closing burst when given a free lane. Has the frame to consider moving inside
Sacks and pressures are product of hustle. Gives effort on every play. Holds the point with length and strong upper body.
Athletic for his size, with light feet and smooth movement skills. Possesses a loose body to redirect momentum, bend and play with leverage. Gets a good initial jump. Usually aggressive and active. Hard worker with toughness.
Aggressive with good awareness to track the ball and attack. Tenacious, tough, competItIve and versatile.
Good not great quickness and change of direction agility. Chases, using a long spin move to clear blocks. Low, strong off the line.

I remember when Dupree was visiting the Steelers, Kaboly was saying it's not a good sign if the player leaves town without signing.

I know when a ref is going to call a timeout before the ref does

I can be out of my seat in the bathroom in the beer line and back to my seat before most of the crowd even starts to stand up

Saw this on YouTube this morning. I think he’s being way overhyped by this YouTuber, but he would be a decent addition. If we sign him, does he move into the lineup? I’ve kind of thought of Roberts as more of a quality backup type of guy.

The Steelers have been pretty active players in this offseason.
I can't say all the moves are blockbusters, but some are solid, some are risks.
You just try to keep the 'head scratchers' to a minimum.

I'm looking forward to a preseason game.

All of us old guys were products of great parenting and we parlayed that into buying beer.

I'm guessing it would be a competition between the two, though Alexander seems like more of an athletic guy who can do more in space while Roberts seems like more of a thumper. I wonder if they think Alexander can play some outside, too.
