“Gone” paint him like he trippin is the one that really makes me curious. I didn’t know the Steelers were into smearing players they release.

Is Maulet the player that broke the code of silence and publicly ripped some of his fellow teammates for their performance during a game last year?

I think they have a direction already.
    Maulet is not irreplaceable.
I am also not sure what happened between him and management. I didn't pick up anything from his message and the Steelers are going to say anything.
I figure when teams start trimming down the roster, there's going to be a player or two in that spot that's going to find himself a victim of the cap or youth.

What pay cut could he take, isn't he on a rookie deal?

Just spit balling, maybe there is an off the field story that hasn't gotten out yet that he is disputing ... or maybe something like he didn't want to get the jab? IDK?

Better to be released now than at camp cut down

Would you rather have Maulet back? You just posted an article showing he was worse than Sullivan.

Given mauler’s ability vs the run and already knowing our scheme, yes. In case you missed it they would pull Maulet on passing downs and bring in the guy who just signed with Detroit. Wtf was his name again

    So

We keep a DB who can’t cover so he can cover the run

    Isn’t that a LB

Not on this team. Our old LBs didn't cover the run either.

Think it is safe to say that, for his first ever journey through the NFL Offseason thus far, Mr. Omar Kahn has exceeded all expectations. He and Andy Weidl are both bringing back that "Smash Mouth Football" mentality that the Steelers have not had since 2008 imo. There is still more of the Offseason to attend to but I do like the concentration of focus and direction the team has now than I did in 2022 where there was a massive departure/influx of pieces and parts all over; losing a HOF QB being chief among them.

Pittsburgh to me, is in much better standing for Playoff Contention now then when the 2022 season ended.

agreed. just like the linebacker room. completely cleaned out except for our late draft pick last year. even the coach was changed. they looked at problem area's and made changes. not even so much as problem area's but weaker area's i guess you could say. competition for other area's that may be on the brink of being a problem as well. punter and kicker. depth. age. penalties. injuries. i want to give colbert credit in this as well and was kind of souring on him for several years but last year he did one of his best upgrades adding to what we now have. including front office. levi wallace, kazee, leal, pickett, warren, heyward, cole, daniels, ogunjobi, pickens, trading claypool. we have seen a subtle rebuild right under our noses the last couple of years.

Steelers sign RB Alfonzo Graham to 3-year contract
Story by Curt Popejoy • 47m ago

According to his agent Tim Moorehead, the Pittsburgh Steelers and rookie running back Alfonzo Graham have agreed to terms on a three-year contract.

Graham was one of the players who attended the Steelers rookie minicamp over the weekend. Graham is a well-traveled college running back who settled in the past two seasons at Morgan State. He’s small and not an every-down back but does have the quickness and speed to compete for a roster spot. This is especially true if he can earn his keep in the return game.

Van Noy or Golden would be good depth as the #3 OLB.

I would be very happy to see them sign any of those three options, but I'm not optimistic.

    I realize the 40 isn't the end all , for everything speed wise but...Darnell Washington ran a 4.6 40 at #270 ...

    This Dude is 5'9" #190 and runs a 4.6...

And the reason we supposedly signed him, Was for his " speed "?

I wondered that also. Maybe he has quickness cutting through people. Steelers must have saw something to give him a contract.
