Only posting this as a friend Bussie, not hall monitor - I once embarrassingly used "platitude" instead of "latitude" during an interview and afterwards wished someone had snuck me a cheat sheet. And no, I didn't get the job.

Digress means to side track or to divert attention from the topic at hand: “Her speech often seemed to digress from the main topic of the seminar.” Regress is to move backward, either physically or in one's thinking: “In old age, one's body regresses.”

I agree. I was forced to watch some Dallas games and Zeke had no juice in his legs.

Benny could definitely give us the same production AND help on ST.

The team gave a rookie Snells jersey number. I realize Snell can take another number, or maybe take his old number back, but the fact the team gave out his number to someone else implies they don't plan on bringing him back. At least that's how I interpret it.

I'd be happy to see him back though. He's a capable depth piece and a good special teamer. It just seems to me that giving out his number is telling.

    Very true.

I just don't see how those Vets would be useful, for the price they'd likely demand.

We can also use all the special teams help that we can get. Got burned a few too many times last season.

    Very telling

They may have invited him back at vet minimum and he wanted to test the market

But eventually it’s poop or get off the pot time and they moved on

I agree ,but doesn't mean He won't be back. IMO it will come down to.....is our 3rd rb good at STs. Because if He's not it's a wasted dress on Sundays....unless one of the 1st two rbs are injured. If He's great at STs it's a win win.

I was listening to a pod cast and they were asking the Question: Is this a Boom or Bust year for Najee?

If Najee puts up 1,000+ yards this season again, but still has only 3.9 yards per carry do the Steelers decline the 5th year option and start thinking about moving on from Najee Harris?

I am expecting big things out of Najee behind this O-Line, and it would be one of my major disappoints this season if Najee doesn't break the over 4.0 yards per carry barrier this year. I am expecting Derek Henry type numbers this year; Actually truth be told I think I am demanding it! I am predicting Najee to have a major breakout season and run up to 2,000 yards this season with a 4.5 YPC

But, If I don't see Najee break the 4.0 yards per carry Average this year, I am off the Najee Bandwagon.
    Najee 3.9 in 2021 and 3.8 in 2022.

Warren has looked good, as has Harris.
As far as a I know, the door is still open for Snell should a need arise.

2000 yards at 4.5 is 445 carries, or 26 a game. That is a lot of carries in today's game. I would settle for a 4.5 at 20 per game, comes to 1530 over 17/90 a game. Do that consistently with Warren getting 10 carries at 4 plus and you have a very good running game.

Hmmm funny.... as of 34 minutes they were looking at LB Nick Kwiatkoski.
    NO mention of those guys..
of course, one never knows. But Harris only spoke of Cook also.

I could see that if they are not liking the rotation... Fournette might be a good addition.

I don't want to see Hunt return to Cleveland again.

Kick Mcfarland off the Team and give his spot to a 27 year old Kareem Hunt. 1 year removed from 4.9 YPC with the Browns.

The Bus could constantly break tackles and carry opposing players. Najee, not so much. Hopefully that changes cause those shoestring and one arm tackles drive me nuts.

Running backs lose it quickly and at a younger age than any other position, so ignoring Hunt's average dropping to 3.8 yards per carry last season would be foolish. Also, he's not coming to Pittsburgh to be a third-string back and Warren clearly established himself as No. 2 last season.

The first half of last season he went down very easily. He hardly ever broke tackles.

Why would you need to bring in running backs? Harris and Warren are a solid one/two punch. They have McFarland and others on the roster.
