Yeah, I know he had only 1 in his college career. I guess I could have used 1 as the over under, but I am trying to be an optimist.

Maybe we should wait til we see what he does in training camp first?

Interesting that you predicted the Steelers will have 10 wins, but you do not want to wait for training camp to make that prediction. My expectations are that he has major playing time and that he gets targeted because he is a rookie. Because of the volume of targets coming his way, I believe he will at least double the number he had in his college career. If the playing time isn't there for Porter Jr., you are going to be hard pressed to get 10 wins from the Steelers.

Ike Taylor had 14 in a 12 year career with the Steelers, 0, 1,1 his first 3 years. Admittedy he was drafted lower and did not get the official starting gig till he 3rd year. Mark Madden wrote he was the worst draft pick in Steelers history (according to Wiki...bith Madden and Wiki suck lol). If he performs like Ike, we will groan at the drops, but still have a very good CB.

Good Morning Football just reported that JPJ will wear #24 in honor of Ike Taylor.

I’ll take 0 interceptions if it means 0 catches for opposing receivers.

Steelers were tied with the 49ers for most Int’s last year, 20. They’ll be fine if Porter has stone hands.

Madden reminded me of Walter the dummy from the ventriloquist's act, only Walter was better looking and more intelligent.

Ike would often make like a once a year amazing INT, and then he would drop like 3-4 that you would think would just be so easily made.

But Ike was def. our best corner here the last 2 decades.

Ike was our 3rd best corner in the last 50 years IMO. He couldn't catch the ball, but neither could the guys he was covering. And he was usually covering our opponent's best receiver.

Not counting how utterly devastating Ike was on run D also. People leave that out.

Are you predicting that the Steelers will get 9 wins whether JPJ contributes or not, before preseason even starts?

I’m not predicting anything. Just pointing out the error in your logic.

Hopefully Joey can one up Ike..For a short period Ike was very good at his job, shutting down opposing Wr's and also supporting the run Defense.. Not a lot of picks, but that's what the safeties are for....

What I hope for is a rotation that can keep pressure on the QB, of course more sacks, but that pressure creates more mistakes as well.
    Yea, the groans, lol, but
I won't argue that, but I have to give Dwayne Woodruff an honorable mention here. A 6th round draft pick, he was one of the only highlights from many bad Steeler teams.
