I’m sure they would try but maybe you have heard of the salary cap. Kenny will be getting paid right around then, too.

I didn’t confirm what you said

Given what the Steelers have been fielding?!?! I am with @S.T.D !!

I'd take that every Sunday + two times over!!

I just believe his potential can be greater than Ike's as JPJ has so much room to grow.

    If that's Porter's ceiling, I'm not impressed.

Ike and Haden have been our 2 best, We can't develop them...

Since Ike left, Our 3 best have been brought in by Colbert from the outside via Free Agency or Trade...

    Steven Nelson, Haden, Minkah...

    That HAS to change!

Ike Taylor... the most underrated Steeler from 2005-2010. Steelers won 2 Super Bowls during that stretch and Taylor was always covering the opposing team's #1 WR.

Ike did well against Terrell Owens, Marvin Harrison and Chad Johnson. These guys were not slackers at WR by any stretch of the imagination.

I was pissed off when he signed with the Saints. Losing Lewis and Worilds set the defense back.

A friend of mine at work guaranteed me that Jason Worilds would be back to the Steelers after retiring at age 27 to join the Jehovah's Witness. He said no one in their right mind would turn down 15 million dollars to that but Worilds never did return to football.

I was telling a buddy of mine this the other day. We agreed that if he turns out to be another Ike Taylor we would both be happy with that. I would just hope he could avoid those occasional clunkers that Taylor would have. It seemed like two or three times a season, he would get burned once or twice early and just suck the rest of the game. The loss to the Broncos with Tebow was one of those games. Hopefully, Porter doesn't have that issue.

I don't think it is his ceiling, but it is a likely outcome.

I’m hoping JP Sr realizes now is the time for him to buzz off and get out of his son’s way
