Dumb luck and incompetencies. Who would have thought Forbes would go before Gonzalez and Porter? Or the Lions would make some truly head scratching picks. Or the run of four consecutive WRs selected

Moore is gonna start the season at LT. He's not a bum. I wouldn't be surprised if the
light came on for Moore this year. It's a good problem to have.

Jones will, most likely, be the swing tackle to start the season. Which is fine.
He'll get in on jumbo packages, and as a back up. No way we get through the
entire season with now injuries at all.

It is what I would like to see is BJ starts at LT and Moore wins the RT job. Hurray! Another Tomlinite bites the dust.

Quite a few already are gone via the recent FA moves.

It seems to me they are looking for OT's that can both run block and pass pro
and this could be the answer

Position: OT Pos2: OG but he did play LT
Moore has been the Aggies starting left tackle, starting in 36-straight games,

Yeah! One site didn't even have him listed with the OL's. It suggested that he would probably
be used as a OG by some team.

There were 5 OL taken in rd1. BJ was the 4th. The steelers got what they wanted and it cost
them their 4th rd pick. 120 i think. Really not bad. What bugs me is so did NE.

Someone posted they would take any one of those top 4 and be satisfied. In most rankings
they are ranked very close. Yes, it's a coin toss. I do believe they got the pick they wanted.

This is my final comment in this thread. Let's rock in rd 4 and 7.

Pittsburgh Steelers Draft Picks by Round in 2023

Round 1, Pick 14 (From NE) Broderick Jones, OT, Georgia.

Round 2, Pick 32 (From CHI) Joey Porter Jr., CB, Penn State.

Round 2, Pick 49.keeanu benton DT

Round 3, Pick 80.trade car for 93 pick TE Darnell Washington

round 4, pick 132 trade car

Round 7, Pick 241 (From MIN via DEN)

Round 7, Pick 251 (From LAR)

I will be the Ass that asks, as I keep hearing reports on this; Is this the guy that Jalen Carter killed in his drunk driving car crash?

Yes. And it wasn’t “his drunken driving car crash”. It was a crash that happened while carter was drag racing him. He was drunk.

Carter didn't kill anyone. He certainly played a part in the accident, drag racing a drunk driver rather than looking out for him, but it's not fair or accurate to say he killed the guy.

So, is that a yes or a no on this being the player that was involved with Jalen Carter?

And, you do understand that Carter pleaded guilty to being involved in the accident.

    Yes sadly.

Devin Willock is the name of the fallen player. Truly a shame... so young and so much left to give; something that sadly will never happen.

In my opinion... had he lived, he would have been a 1st Round Pick come the 2024 NFL Draft. Dude was an animal.

If memory serves me right, it was was road racing with another car and that driver lost control, killing both the driver and the football player

On a side note, Missy Mathews is a very good interviewer. We are lucky to have her here in the Steel City.

Reminds me of when Ben was Ben and all we heard about was him having sex with an "underaged girl". The girl wasn't old enough to drink, but she was 20 (he was what, 24?). Make it sound like something it wasn't.
