Summary:

Spencer Anderson is a lineman with exposure to tackle but is best suited playing on the interior. He lacks the arc speed to challenge NFL rushers and is susceptible to motion across his face. Anderson plays with a strong base and does a good job of adjusting his hands when engaged. He has a good understanding of angles and sealing run lanes. His lateral mobility and recovery speed will present challenges.

• Does a good job of re-adjusting his hands once engaged

Has played every position on the line. Nice guy to have. Good run blocker. May make green expendable.

 

To echo the comment @mac daddyo made, this is essentially a challenge for Kendrick Green. Reminder to all that just because Omar Kahn was within the Front Office when the team selected Green does not mean that Green will be immune to be cut. For that matter, Green's fight for his NFL Life begins now as Anderson best projects as an IOL but more so a Center.


Should Anderson win out against Green, that would be Mason Cole's backup. He does have experience in that area.

 

Based on sunspots I expect Green to best out Dotson

 

Ryan McCollum was brought in last year as well in that backup center role. He played at Texas A&M with moore.

 

Well.. now there is three players opting for the backup role!

Herbig as well I'd assume. We will most likely keep a 3rd center on the PS and the best c/g on the 53 for game day backup.

 

He is currently listed as a guard though who knows?! I honestly wouldn't mind him as the swing IOL as he does possess that level of experience.

 

since they have now allowed I think 2 additional ps players to be dressed on game day for the o-line.

 

I am a firm believer that competition gets the most
Out of players/ organizations etc. That is if it is fair competition.
Sometimes there are not level playing surfaces.
