And after napping through the 80th pick I woke up to find we had traded down and picked at 93.

Green was drafted 33 years ago. Athletes do seem to get more freakish as time goes on. I would certainly take it if he became a comparable player.

If we do not sign/resign a FB I can see them moving Heyward to an H-back role. If we do sign one then Gentry is probably gone.

Imagine the goal line sets: O-line+ Washington + Muth + Gentry + Najee + Pickens in isolation = Frightening.

Imagine Washington pushing Pickett on the sneaks. Unstoppable.

He's a glorious monster that I would've been thrilled to have at 17.

And no offense but I thought you were crazy. He was second string on his own team! Still, happy to have this freak in the 3rd.

True, but in terms of actual height and weight, he still stood out more in relation to his contemporaries.

I just want to see him perfect his blocking technique and mauling people out there. Anything he gives them in the passing game is gravy. 300- 400 yards and 4 TDs would be nice. The red zone I imagine is where he will make an impact first.

Little concerned about the medical. Some no name TE was taken right before him. Teams know a lot more than we do about medicals.

Worth the risk if he is as good as advertised.

Dude, Bowers is ridiculous, I'll give you that. It's no shame to be second to him.

Washington is transformative. If he's healthy, ...omg! He's ridiculous! OMG, I can't believe we got him at 93. Ridiculous!

    Saw this

"he NFL changed their rules this season regarding jersey numbers and will allow players to wear No. 0. It just so happens, new Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Darnell Washington wore No. 0 at the University of Georgia. So it only makes sense that he would be the first Steelers player to wear it as well."

I believe he did all his testing at the combines. I can't find anything he did not. And he did a 4.6, 40 with being that massive size. 6'7" 264
