I kicked everyone in the balls who mentioned porter was going to be taken.

I read a couple of days ago that there unresolved injury issues with him. Could be the reason.

I must say ... that I am so impressed with our whole draft thus far. We haven't been on the money in the draft in a long time

He fits more as a 4/3 DE, he's not the same player after his injury.

Do we take Hyatt, if KP can't throw it that far?

I would argue yes and no.
Yes there are players who bench more than him even though lighter than him

No the bench press is not necessarily a good gauge of football strength. Lots of guys, especially with shorter arms, have good bench press numbers, or guys who love to work out. But some guys have greater natural strength and size. I am not saying Benton has natural strength, I’m just not agreeing that the bench press is the gauge to use. Not that there is another one readily available but watching game film is the best way. if Benton was moving people in the big ten he has enough strength. If he was being moved then he does not. And he must have gone against their own 2nd round center in practice. Also a good gauge.

I wouldn't he seems to be kind of injury bug ridden. Not his fault, but not something you want to put on your cap.

Look, I'm just gonna say this right now, if we get Washington at #80, I might not be on for awhile.

I'll have to go away. Go away to the hills. Let my beard grow long. Eat raw groundhog and grubs. I'll need time to recover.

Agreed, but better there than be available to the Bengals.

Peeps keep saying Steelers are taking my picks for once. Well, it’s been a long time since we have had three picks in the top50. They’re playin the board (BPA) per need as always. Sheesh!

So many teams are drafting TEs that there may be no more TE openings for him to fill

My most happiest draft was 2008. The Mendenhall, Sweed draft.

Thought we knocked it out of the park. Grand slam.

Wow, outstanding first three picks for our Steelers. Something good at 80 is just gravy at this point. Maybe another corner? A center? Tight end even?

Tell ya, if Washington is there @ 80. I’d take him just for the H3ll of it. He’ll put ya on your Butt and make room for pass\run and still catch the ball in da crowd. He be a Steeler.

Don’t these strengths and weaknesses read a little like the big DT we drafted some years ago in the 7th round? I’m not saying Benton won’t be good but the description reads like John ________ (the name escapes me).

Ok, I don’t even know who this guy is and he went before Washington.

Think @steelersrock151@steelersrock151 is right. I vaguely remember him getting hurt last season.
