Let me just say that he is My guy. Can't say I agree with everything he gave but by far he gave his best and he was the best for much of his Black and Gold career. What's the thoughts on if he will be in the HOF?

No. If he had produced at a high level for longer then absolutely. He basically had one great year and 4 good years. That’s not a HOF career imo

He is not, sorry good but not great. Same as Hines Ward.

Ward should make the HOF. Harrison won't.

It's tough. Very much a similar career path that Kurt Warner had, albeit two different positions. Both used lower level leagues to get back to the NFL and thrived. I don't think he's a first ballot kinda guy, but definitely can see him get in at some point down the road.

I think a case could be made for it but probably won’t happen. He was a dominant player for a few years and one of the most feared guys in the league. Plus, he has arguably the most iconic defensive play in Super Bowl history. I think the HOF has to be more than just about stats. Sucks the stupid way his Steelers career came to an end, but I have good memories of Harrison overall.

Has the Steelers sack record with 80.5, was a player so feared that offensive coordinators needed to game plan for, holds the interception yards leader with 100 and without him they don't have the 6th Lombardi. A dominate player.

He absolutely belongs in the Hall of Fame. So does Hines Ward.

Ward has the consistency(even if he didn't play with a HOF QB his entire career), stats, and championships to put him in the HOF.

James has defensive player of the year and two first team all pro selections, two second team all pros. Ward should get in but James was the more dominant player. Ward did have more longevity though.

I would love to see Harrison in the Hall of Fame but I am being realistic, Harrison is good, not great, Harrison will never get in the Hall of Fame unfortunately

Why is Kurt Warner in the HOF? Warner is one reason why HOF voting is becoming a joke. Warner isn't a HOF player.

Just a comment Silverback/Deebo and Hines Ward are 2 of my
All time favorite Steelers. Both played with passion. I hope
These young players drafted this weekend
Can be these type of players.

I remember Ward going over the middle getting led into the safety by Kordell getting hammered somehow holding on to the ball coming up smiling on a consistent basis.

That alone deserves the HOF. Lol

If guys like Sam Mills, Richard Seymour, Tony Boselli, Bryant Young, LeRoy Butler etc made it in the last few years, why not James Harrison? He certainly has the stats, 5 Pro Bowls, 2 Super Bowls, DPOY. 4xAll Pro selection and owns one of the greatest plays made in Super Bowl history and one of the most feared linebackers to ever play the game.

Imo, definitely. Not first ballot, but within a few years of it. He was arguably the most feared player on a defense of full of feared players. Superbowl 43 was icing on the cake.

To me not anywhere near the same. LC totally got screwed. He is hands down way better than Harrison. LC was a freak and once Joe was playing on only one arm he was the best on that line. Relentless machine and I love Deebo but he didn't do it long enough.
