I think Gonzales may be the first corner taken

He is now projected to be a guard. Like said Jones Jr and Johnson Jr are what I would like to see, but that may have to be a trade up if they covet either one of them but I hope they can stand pat at 17 and get one.

Corner with the 32nd. I would bet its the kid from Maryland, Deonte Banks.

A tight end, receiver or ILBer would be a Fear for round 1.

I still think he is the best LT in the draft and will anchor someone's O-Line for the next 12 years.

CB is a deep class this year, so I don't think they need to move up. If the Steelers move up it will be for LT Broderick Jones.

If You want You could say every position is deep, but there is a big difference in Gonzalez, and Cam Smith to 88% of the other corners coming out.

I wonder if the Steelers are as high on Cam Smith as you are?

I consider Gonzalez and Witherspoon to be the best 2 CBs in the draft followed by JPJ. I can't imagine Cam Smith not being still available at #17, and he may even still be on the board at #32.

Banks. If they grab him in the second ok but don’t want him at 17.

I don't think they even had Smith in for a visit, but they did bring in his teammate Darius Rush.

They are not. They didn't even invite Him in, but the Ravens took Him to dinner. So I maybe have to watch Him twice a year, and either I will be saying told Y'all so, or You guys will be telling Me. LoL.
I've seriously watched 7 CBs very closely, and My top 2 are Gonzalez 1, and Cam Smith 2. Now will it translate to the NFL????

I have Gonzalez 1st, Witherspoon 2nd, and then either Smith if we want versatility or Porter if we want to play a lot of press man on the outside. My 5th is Tyrique Stevenson over Banks.

But I’m with you in being PO’ed if he ends up as a Raven.

I'm with You on the top Guys. I just have them rated different, and Witherspoon, and Porter worry Me the most....not for college, but transferring to the Pros, but all You name could be really good.

Trading up to pick players we could have gotten at 17.

If it's not Jalen Carter don't do it. No one else around 10 is that much better of a prospect to warrant giving up other picks

Disagree. I think Paris Johnson and Christian Gonzalez are worth moving up to around 10, and I’d move up to the 13 range (using our 3rd) for Broderick Jones. There’s not much high end talent in this draft. This is the year to make a move IMO.

I get there are some who don't like Carter, and that's fine. But he is the only talent worth trading up for. If we aren't trying to get him ( for whatever reason: including him sucking character wise) then we should sit out asses comfortably back at 17 or even move farther back for extra picks.

The other potential great players aren't dropping, so we should get comfortable at 17.

    That's all I'm saying :)

Yes, a move backwards. Not forward. I'm not sure either Broderick or Paris are better than Skoronski or Wright. Personally, I suspect Wright is the best tackle in this draft.

Gonzalez I can see. I personally won't trade up for him, but I can understand why some might. I need a little more aggression personally. But I appreciate the smoothness. It's unreal.

I’m looking for an LT, not a guard or RT. I don’t see LT movement in Wright or a fit at tackle at all for Skowronski.

I don't see it in Paris Johnson either. But we are all banking on that length prototype of his to come through and make him good. There are no guarantees it will though.

It takes a bit of projection for sure, but he played the LT position pretty well considering that he’s played a total of 13 college games there. His length is exceptional, like he was almost lab grown to be a LT. I see a high ceiling and a pretty high floor. With Skowronski I don’t see where he can go from here as a tackle. He already has pretty mature technique, and I don’t see much upside for him at the tackle position with his lack of ideal traits.

I also really like Jones. He needs a bit more work as a pass protector, but I love his run blocking.

So is potential worth a move up? I can't see that.

Every single player in the draft is just potential though.

    WR.

Come on man, we still haven't seen Austin on the field yet. I tell you what else scares me, Pickett with another round of concussions. For that reason I'm thinking in terms of priority LT, CB, EDGE.

tape. good tape for more than one year is who should be seeing the first round. not just because he's big or fast. one year of working at the position is not really a good sample size to go by. some potential has been seen over and over, some has not.

Skoronski could fit at any position on the line. He pretty much went up against everybody Johnson did in the big 10. The kid is smart too.

Gonzales would be nice as well.

Branch could also give you versatility.

All would be a move up.

Branch makes me nervous because he only ran a 4.6. Heck Jack Campbell ran a 4.6 and he’s 6” taller and 60 lbs heavier.
