As a long time avid TN Vol fan, I agree. Our coaches mentioned his play.

    Never said Pickett sucks

As for the 3 in 12 I’m sure someone like you is rather impressed by that.

He’d be an absolute steal in the 2nd.

Agree. There’s no doubt that he brings a lot to the table as an interior pass rusher, and we’re in sub packages more often than base defense anyway.

    HOPEFULLY! w Austin...

    Regarding Robinson:
the Q is - Can Cana-DUH do anything with him?

    Wait for it....WE WILL SEE.

IF we are still top 10 in 3 and outs, it won't matter......
IF the running game is not INTIMIDATING, it won't matter.
Can Cana-duh do anything different with new toys and a 2nd Yr QB?

Did the Steelers even ever officially bring Pickett “in” for an interview?

The Steelers have the most inside track on him. Hopefully most teams think he isn’t worthy and are wrong and he falls to us late so they focus on other needs. This is a unique and interesting position for the Steelers. Two years in row now maybe!

Having a college team in house is starting to show some great benefits. I hope. How awesome it would be if PITT became a powerhouse program. I know they aren’t in the top tier conference but if they elevated to a Notre Dame, USC, Ohio State, Michigan level program - wow.

It will never happen with Narduzzi running the show. We talk about Tomlin playing down to the level of competition. You can always count on Narduzzi to lose to a team like Western Michigan

The transfer portal and NIL deal I believe are going to hurt, more than help schools like Pitt. If you are able to recruit a guy and he has a great couple of years the lure of a bigger and/or better NIL funded program is really hard to pass up. There may be Pitt alumni or businesses that can offer some deals, but some of those Uni grads have very deep pockets, and larger markets have major sponsors.

Agreed. That is what happened with Jordan Addison, who was the best player on the team two years ago.

He's 6'0" 280lbs, he has no place in the Steelers defense.

Correct, there are only so many targets to go around. Add it up folks all these receiver's and rb's and TE's want the ball in their hands. Future earning potential. I did a thread on it
before start of season last year, don't think I was far off with targets.

Pitt may lose the occasional Addition type but more likely than not they don't. Pitt has drafted alot of NFL players recently. Pitt actually is able to get many top tier transfers to PItt including some of the better QBs . Pitt is able to pick the better players from smaller conferences and plug and play them. It has helped more than hurt soo far.

If Robinson comes in and grabs 40-50 passes and a couple of TD's I'd call that great value for all they gave up in the trade and the cap hit. Plus, as someone pointed out, the deal likely removes the urge on pulling the trigger on another WR at least in the first four rounds. I'm sure they bring in a bunch of UDFA's post draft. Maybe they find a productive back-up, special team wideout.

I don't know if Robinson can be held accountable to TD catch number, Steelers only had 12 receiving TDs last year and 4 of those went to Najee and Watt. How Canada kept his job is mind-blowing.
