For him to match DJ’s production he would have to score…

Actually to match DJ he doesn’t have to score at all

I always really liked Robinson...injuries have seemed to slow him down, but he also hasn't played with great QB's.

Interesting to see how he does here. A good vet for the locker room.

I see one report that the Rams are paying $10.25 million of his salary and the teams are exchanging seventh-round picks. If the price really is $5 million and 17 spots in the seventh round, that isn't a bad gamble.

As part of the expected deal, the Steelers will pay $5 million of Robinson's salary in 2023 while L.A. pays the remaining $10.25 million, Pelissero reports, per a source. The Rams will receive a 2023 seventh-round pick (No. 234 overall) from the Steelers in exchange for Robinson and a 2023 seventh-rounder (No. 251), per Pelissero.

basically getting him for free , just paying 5 million next season..
I have been begging for a WR, this will add some veteran leadership.

This was fair. But his cap hit in 2024 is the issue.

Recent health issues aside, you could not sign a vet WR of his caliber for 5 million. Just turning 30, this could be a terrific trade in helping KP's development.

But we also have flexibility to cut him in March and shed him.

I think if Steelers cut him in 24 they owe $0.

This is a very low risk trade. We get a vet WR for 5 million for 1 year basically.

His play has fallen off a cliff the last couple seasons but was very good before that. Thought he would have righted the ship when he signed with the Rams but he never got going and then of course Stafford got hurt.

I don’t know, it’s as wild card, don’t know what guy we are getting.

the rams had already paid 5 of the 15 mil.. there was 10 mil. left and they are paying 5 and the steelers 5. this is a good deal with just swapping 7th round picks. we don't even lose a 7th.

Hopefully Steelers can get Cotchery-like production out of Robinson. Cotchery was the last above average free agent WR we've had.

They lost 17 spots in the 7th round and are paying $5 million of his contract. How could possibly not like this move?

Total win move for the Steelers

Thing I remember most about Cotchery is not his time with us but the Panther/Bronco SB. There was a catch no catch situation if I recall and I think it went against him although he was adamant it was a catch. (Could be off on the play but think that is the gist of it)

It’s hard to get excited about this given how he has played in recent years but it’s also hard to argue with it at that price.
