They still have time to draft or even still add to that position. Do you think Leal could be used there part time?

That seemed like a desperation move after the team failed to properly back up Watt and Highsmith last year. I had hoped they learned their lesson, but so far, that doesn't seem to be the case.

If Nolan Smith is there at 32, take him. Use him like Micah Parsons

Reed was supposed to be a good pickup last year but didn't quite turn out that way. They may just be in the wait until the draft mode. They don't have to make a panic move right now.

Who exactly would they panic and sign right now? The free agent pool is fairly well picked over. There are a couple of cornerbacks still out there. Maybe Leonard Floyd, though I imagine he is still hoping to land somewhere and start.

houston, ingram, van noy, pierre paul, clowney, floyd, clark, quinn, nassib, curry, flowers, addison, avery. there are still some out there beside this group. depends on how much money they want to spend on that position. they have or will have a ton invested there already. sure it would be nice to have starter quality backups at every position but that is just not feasible when the starters you already have are near the top of the money chain.

    Ingram lol

Some of those guys aren't outside linebackers. Some are very unlikely to sign on as a No. 3 option.

Look what Dupree ended up costing. They could have had a viable No. 3, but they insisted on a two-year deal structured the way they like them and left themselves bargain hunting at the position.

a lot of them also are up in age if they want that two year deal. they may just go the draft route and use roche and egbule and leal along with a rookie.:cool:

If the organization had more draft picks I’d be fine with them trying to fill the holes they still have, but they don’t. They still have work to do and even though they’ve been very active so far and more than usual; I just wish they did more buying earlier in the process before the shelves were mostly empty.

Leonard Floyd is the best edge rusher out there, but I would be surprised if he wanted to come to Pittsburgh to be the #3 OLB.
