    Seumalo is their best guard, so the guy on the left side is the one who is going to have better, smarter help from the lineman next to him. Wright can play either tackle. Their best alignment if they drafted him might be Wright at left tackle and Moore beating out Okorafor on the right side.

    I like what they have done. I don't like that they didn't sign help at outside linebacker.

    Had they released Tribisky a bunch of weeks ago they could have an afforded a quality person for this spot, but I’ve beat that dead horse to death enough here.

    Would you rather have a solid rotational edge to spell our starters or fill in if one gets hurt with Mason Rudolph as our QB2 — or — Tribisky?

    You aren't just beating a dead horse. You are drawing a false conclusion. They had the money to sign a guy like that. Hell, Dupree only got a one-year deal that is up to $5 million. It has absolutely nothing to do with keeping Trubisky. It was a choice of what sort of deal they wanted to give Dupree. I think they made the wrong call there, but connecting it to Trubisky is utter crap.

    Having dollars to show that they aren’t bankrupt doesn’t mean that they have the money for a high quality player to spell the starters. They have funds already ear marked for other signings gor the draft, undrafted guys and usually a few million for when they are in a tight spot in the season.

    Maybe they do have money right now as you say, but if that’s true then they are derelict of duty for not signing one. But I’m not thinking that’s the reason.

    They are doing what the Steelers do. They didn't like the value of the available options, so they passed.

    I do think it was a mistake not to sign a competent veteran backup at outside linebacker, but no, it didn't happen because of Trubisky's contract.

    so far only the first 7 FA QB's got more than mitch is making. it could be the money dupree wanted and the injuries he's had and how he looked at the physical process to them. maybe they just thought he wasn't worth the risk per dollar bill at this point. :cool:

    I think if you look around the league at the really good teams, you have maybe 3-4 potential superstars per team with a whole lot of “solid if not spectacular” players surrounding them. The Steelers are building a roster that can compete in the post season. Kudos to Khan and Weidl.

    Fixed it for him! :rolleyes::lolol:

    Devin Bush: "My playmaking (in)ability I think is my best trait. Being able to (take myself out of) plays in any form or fashion, whether it’s (getting easily blocked on) a blitz, (missing) a pick, (staring helplessly) at a forced fumble, (watching from my back as a teammate makes) a fumble recovery, (allowing) a TD, it can be anything. I feel like I'm just a ball (boy pretending to be a linebacker) at the end of the day."

    I really don't care what they wear to the draft, I'm more concerned if they can play or not.

    Why does everyone outside Steelers fans think Kenny is a bust and not the future? Is it because casual fans just look at the 7/9 stat?

    I kinda like the Kenny Pickett understated look…tee shirts and sweats.

    You are correct and that’s the lazy approach. If you watched Kenny play any amount at all last year and have an even basic knowledge of the game, you know he’s got some special qualities that, if developed properly, can get him to the next level and propel him to elite status. He’s still got some work to do, which I think he realizes, but he has a real chance to be our next franchise guy for the next decade.
