From the Raiders bench. I've never seen this one before.

This video started circulating at the end of last season right before the 50th anniversary.

That play had to be a real gut punch for the raiders and their fans.
And then after that game we knock them out of the playoffs several more times during that decade.

Now every time a raiders fan has to fly into Pgh they see that statue in the airport. It must really suck to be them.

Did you notice not one player or coach on the Raiders bench was yelling or pointing out that the ball hit the ground? Proof that in real time they all saw that Franco made a legitimate catch.

Some great old names shown in the clip, although the view of the play isn't that great.

And the power of the YouTube logarithm yields another one that I haven't seen.

I love how the fans were running on the field after the XP and waited on the sideline to charge the field. Those were the days.

And who knew that they had some form of replay back then, although it wasn't an integral part of the game yet? Amazing.

Raiders kept this hidden for almost 50 years.

I've only seen one angle where he caught it at his knees. Saw it once and never found that video again. Like the Raiders bought it and destroyed it.

What's amazing is that Bradshaw, even though he was scrambling, he had 7 or 8 seconds to throw.

That's amazing, never saw it. I've seen the all 22. That one is amazing, too. No way he trapped that ball.

Was that Pete Banaszak with the tears in his eyes? I know what this game meant to the Steelers organization and Steeler fans. That shot of Pete is all you need to know about how crushed the Raiders were right then. Fact is, if there was one team throughout the 70's that was close to the Steelers in talent and ferocity, it was those Raiders teams. I have mad respect for those guys even though I despised them then.

The raiders liked to intimidate opponents. That didn't work on those Steeler teams.

And that's why those games, like the games with the Ravens nowadays, were fist fights.
