Coaching does matter, but no matter what others think.....Tomlin's record is not easily reproduced......believe Me if it was ....there would be No 3, or 4 win teams ever.

no, his (regular season) record is not easily reproduced. but he may have hit his ceiling. His recent playoff record is an obstacle to him being seeing as an all time great (in my opinion). Good, but I reserve great......for GREAT. Did he win early due to a stocked team - with a HOF DC and OC's that knew what they were doing, for example?
our playoff record since 2010 is abysmal. Recall what we all used to say about Marty Shottenheimer, as an example. but no need to pile on MT, I just think it is a problem against the greater minds of the game. He does have great coordinators, as he once did. and I blame him for that.

I never thought that about Marty S. I always thought He was a great coach. Look how long some of those teams that let Him go stayed bad for so long after He was fired, or left...., but they were good while He was there.

Dumbest decision I ever saw when Chargers fired Marty. I bet all those bemoaning his playoff record would kill to have him back now.

I think the story was Marty didn't get along with the Chargers GM, and he fired him after going 14-2 IIRC.

Marty might have a SB if it weren’t for Marlon McCree

That moment was so very Chargers and an example of why you can make an argument that Belichick, Brady, or both of them must have made a deal with the devil.
