DJ Flucker is trying to make a comeback. Dude looks insane for 32. He's had his share of injuries. I wonder if he tries RT or G.

Didn't they slap the tag on him that allows the Ravens to match any offer so any team that wants him has to go big to convince the Ravens not to match? I heard the same two points on the Dan Patrick show in the last week. If Lamar had an agent their was no way he plays the last two seasons without a new deal with new money and that despite what he has accomplished he has basically missed the entire month of December and into January the last two seasons as well so there is a risk involved.

Pierre is likely going to be their #4 CB, that's if they don't double dip at CB in the draft, maybe they should draft a slot CB who can take Maulet's spot and draft an outside CB too.

Mitch isn't good but it looks like he will stick around for another year, I hope he can improve from being in the system for another year, scrub cost us a playoff spot by throwing 3 interceptions and losing to the Ravens :frustrated:.

Yes I think if he had an agent he would be much better off right now.

They used the non-exclusive tag that allows him to negotiate with other teams. Ravens were confident that nobody was going to come in with a stupid offer and it seems they were right. It was probably done to show Lamar that he didn’t have the leverage he thought he had.

It could go a number of different ways now but the best thing he could do for himself when the time comes is get back to work. I can’t imagine the relationship between him and the team will be particularly good until his long term future is settled though.

Word has it a lot of teams don’t want to negotiate with him because if they do come to a reasonable agreement the Ravens just meet the offer and they’ve done the ravens work for them

There are reports that Lamar turned down a 3 year 133 million fully guaranteed contract from the Ravens.

It was a five year contract with $133 million guaranteed. Think about $220 million total. Can't trust Lamar's tweets. To say he's a dumbass is an insult to dumbasses everywhere.

Not that I give a $hat about the purple crows and was hoping they would load the brinks truck chock full for Jackson but even they are not that stupid. They are not going to sign him to close to what he wants. They know after his legs start failing the party's over.

We need to hope that when Pickett is up for his contract it will be smooth sailing. These QB contracts are roster killers.

He is fine as a fourth cornerback, though I think his best value is on special teams.

These are the type of guys that you dont miss until they are not there, was he worth a RFA tender, the team did not think so, but I would not have complained if they had done it. That said they took the gamble and got him back cheaper.

It another point of evidence that the Steelers front office is pretty darn good at gauging players value.

Starting with Bell through Edmunds, DJ, Ju Ju and a few others. Players they let leave and then aquire.

I would say they missed though on Mike Hilton and in hind sight should have moved mountains to retain Hargrave. I’m also thinking they are/were paying Derick Watt more than he’s worth too.

I'm a little shocked so many outlets (lol, I know, I know) are still down on the Steelers. I think they had a great free-agent period.
