Isaac Seumalo is a really damn good move for the Steelers. I’m a fan of the moves they’ve made in free agency. They’re truly setting Kenny up with solid protection.

I wonder if they can get something for Dotson in a trade, it's time to cut Kendrick Green.

Another Guard, wow. I wonder how Herbig is feeling?

I guess it is pretty clear what they think of Dotson.

Time to try and get a 5th or 6th round pick for Dotson, it's obvious they have no plans to re-sign him.

They're giving the fire hydrant 2/$8M to be a backup?

I anticipate Dotson given the chance to compete

    Then cut

I see Green lasting as a backup due to versatility and cap hit

Or any tackle. The Steelers currently have ZERO backup tackles on their roster.

Green spent most of last year watching from the sidelines in sweat pants. I would expect he will be in sweat pants again this year but watching from his couch.

Seems like a prime candidate to play in the XFL, USFL or CFL. Can't see him being on any NFL roster. I feel for him. Seems like a good dude.

    Like the signing of Seumalo.

I think we kick butt this year.

Hey, we were 6-2 in the back half of last season.

Now with improvements, I`m expecting at least 12 wins. That is actually reasonable and achievable.

Really didn't see this one coming after the Herbig signing.

Now I feel bad for the dude. He's going from starting to being a back-up in 3 days without even putting the uniform on!.

I'm surprised they signed Seumalo but I shouldn't be given the presence of Andy Weidl. He is certainly an upgrade up front, though making the pieces fit could be challenging. Does Daniels move to left guard? Do they move one of those right guards to center?

This issac I like a nice signing for Pitt finally the OL is coming along especially if we get a stud LT in the draft. Could be really nice for KP.

i wanted him but never dreamed they would go after him. weidl and his big smart linemen. cutting dotson saves around 2.7 mil. i'm looking at these marginal players that if cut don't have a ton of dead money due but save us a nice little chunk of change. dotson 164,703, saving us 2,743,000. this was an awesome pickup. nate will learn our center position as coles backup and maybe more. cole was a left tackle in college. so there are options. not saying they move him there but game day injury wise it could be possible with what we have right now.

I feel the same. Either way he is gone. Not a big dead cap hit only 164,704 with a savings of 2,743,000. No brainer

Now with Herbig and Seumalo being signed all that's left is a franchise left tackle in the draft.

Why keep him? Have you not seen enough? He is a bust. With the guards we have been signing I want to see him on the waiver wire. He has no business even suiting up and was not active in any of the games last season. Wasted pick time to cut bait.

Seaumalo isn't quite as massive as Herbig but at 6'4" and 305 certainly big enough. His strengths are aggressiveness and being an extremely smart player. I was reading that he helped implement the Eagles offensive game plan before their games.
