Yes for depth. Clowney would also be good depth

An under the radar kind of guy I’d like to consider is Andrew Van Ginkel from Miami. He’s a solid backup edge, and is a special teams standout. I just noticed that he’s visiting New England.

I have seen Washington mocked to the Bengals, that would suck if they got him.

On paper it looks like they have upgraded the ILB position, now they still need to draft a ILB, maybe get a sideline to sideline type of guy.

    Sacks doesn't equal a great D.

I think they needed that money to fit the players they signed, I wouldn't expect any splash signings, probably a few more signings for depth IMO.

Our D tends to get sacks in bunches but is maddening inconsistent.

That was my thoughts, you never know if someone gets released, especially after the draft, post June time...maybe a type of 'splash', but right now perhaps a guy of 3 waddling back after getting no serious offers on the market.

Very disappointing. I was really excited when we signed him last year. I really thought we had a baller on our hands.

I think the Rats are giving it a shot but failing miserably. They are a tight end heavy offense. Didn’t they draft two last year fairly high?

The thing about both ILB's last year was there was hardly any tackles for loss. I don't need sacks, but they weren't even in the vicinity.

Actually we were 9th in yards last year and 6th in ypc

And if I dust off a gray cell I think we improved as the season went on (Bush played less as the season went on)

I was just about to post those numbers, which were a huge improvement over 2021 when they were worst in the league in both categories. If you want to know why they opened the checkbook for Ogunjobi, start there.

I think that may have been lost on some fans because they did have a few games in which they looked helpless against the run, including the losses to the Browns and Ravens. They were a lot better the second time around against both of those teams.

    Did they?

But they are (were?) such a run based team with Lamarr it would seem they are then trying to serve two bosses. But I don’t know their scheme enough.
