    Yes it did

Things I just saw about the Steelers QB coach I never knew...(on Steelers Coaches page)

He played DB in college and started as a defense coach.

He was commissioned as an Infantry Officer upon graduation, later attending the Army Airborne, Ranger, and Air Assault Schools

Sullivan won two Super Bowls—XLII (2007) and XLVI (2011)—during his first eight seasons with the Giants. He coached wide receivers for six seasons before being elevated to quarterbacks coach.

In the Giants' 2011 Super Bowl season—Manning's second year working with Sullivan—the quarterback set career highs in passing yards (4,933) and yards/attempt (8.4). In New York's four playoff games, Manning averaged more than 300 yards/game and finished the postseason with nine TDs against just one interception.

For these guys it’s an investment. I remember reading about Deebo spending $350k a year on “body work” that includes doctors, masseuses and chiropractors. If a few thousands help them be a better player then they will gladly spend.

Steelers are not going to get anything for Mitch, except maybe a 6th or 7th. He's a backup and an unreliable backup at that.

keep in mind that they got a 5th rd pick for Dobbs. They might be able to squeeze a 4th out of somebody for Trubisky but I doubt anything higher than that.

we can only hope - there are better backup options than Mitch. His putrid play off the bench vs. Balt convinced me that he is not a good option as backup.

You are an idiot if you think any team would give up a 2nd rounder for a back up and a horrible one at that

What does Brooke mean by "...and beyond"? Is she hinting at a contract Extension for Mitch?

i guess if there's an injury to a starter somewhere. That being said, not sure Trubisky is better than Dobbs. If i had to choose, all things being considered - including better sideline support - i would go with Dobbs.

    Try reading it as:

"Steelers GM Omar Khan says they want Mitch Trubisky next year - he’s still under contract for 2023 - and beyond"

A contract extension at a more favorable number is most likely

They will probably add a year and put part of his $8M this year into signing bonus to spread the cap hit over 2 years

Maybe 5.5 a year plus a 2.5 signing bonus or something like that

Mitch is not trash. Good size, arm, athleticism , pedigree, still young , has played well during his career. He has value and if anyone says he doesn’t is just ignorant to NFL team needs. His value IS Whatever any team decides it is. To a desperate team it would be HIGH and to a stacked team it would be low.

Reality is the Steelers have Two QBs going into camp. We’ll need at The very least One more and most likely two more.

Mitches contract is perfect for trading and/or restructuring here. What does he want? If he’s “ok” being Kenny’s backup he will be extended. Also no-one should be surprised if we draft a QB this year. We do have two 7th rd picks and somebody will be there.

Are you normally goofy or just trying extra hard?
Would be cheaper and take the place of Trubisky.

So, what if Ryan is cheaper? He's older and a worse player at this point. It's not happening anyway, why post this nonsense ?
