Great post. I haven't heard his name in years. Green must think Peterson is still a kid with many years in from of him. From Green's wiki...
    • Oldest player with a more-than-35-yard gain (lateral on punt return), (42 years, 327 days)
    • Oldest player with an interception return for a touchdown in overtime, (35 years, 249 days)
    • Oldest player with an interception (41 years, 304 days)
    • Oldest player with a more-than-80-yard interception return (37 years, 309 days)
    • Oldest player with a non-offensive touchdown in overtime, (35 years, 249 days)
    • Oldest NFL Defensive Back (42 years old)[10]
    • 2nd Oldest player to return an interception for a touchdown (37 years, 309 days)(Albert Lewis is the oldest: 38 years, 26 days)

The only time a great player gets caught with PEDs is late in their career. There is a reason for that.
Also @Steel_Elvis You said He had a great year last year. Did You notice how much they were throwing at Him compare to the past???? Wonder why???
Again.....I freaking pray I'm wrong...., and will be ecstatic if I am.

He was also the legitimate fastest man in the NFL to go along with His cover skills, and was not busted for PEDs

We’ll see. I only watched a few Vikings games this year, but he seemed to still be solid.

at 32, age and injuries can catch up to you in a hurry. that being said, if we get 1-2 good years out of him its a win.

Athletes commonly get caught taking PEDs to speed recovery from injury.

LOL well I can assure you, Mikey, that I am not that young person you are referring to. I think some of us are just realistic to know that "greatness" isn't going to happen every season.

I think we got an average player. If you ask me, he is Levi Wallace, Akhello Winterspoon level. Slightly below Sutton. But we are where we are. We have 3 serviceable outside Corners ( I don't think we'll cut Akhello) now we need Nickelback.

Brian Branch and Clark Phillips are fae and away the 2 best in the draft. We can get Branch in the First and Clark in the 2-3rd round.

sounded like a young comment. I am tired of complacency, that is now the standard. that was not the case since we became THE STEELERS , in the 70's.

we are happy to wallow, and we will again this year. Little change in leadership from last year. Rooney likes what he see's - I do not. Canada should have been shown the door. So should have Danny Smith (some 5 years ago....) Maybe you just like to 'watch football'. not me , I want to see competition for the top. That ship has sailed.

i would add that greatness has not happened....for a LONG TIME.

I was huge on Haden and Peterson as future NFL CB'S for the Steelers, we got Haden late and yet he changed how effective our Coverage could be ..IMO Peterson is actually a better all around DB as compared to Haden ..I like his ability to play in a box against bigger stronger types of WR'S I also like the way he reacts in off coverage and how quick he closes the space once he sees the shoulder turn to make the throw ..

He may even be a potential switch to Safety type player in a few seasons if need be ?

3 playoff wins in 12 years……. Damn right greatness will not happen every season!

Maybe sometime in the next decade?

Most people’s definition of greatness is SB wins.

well, yes, that is true, but some AFCCG's during the (modern - post 2010) Ben era would have been nice. Did not have an answer to Belicheat / Brady for 20 years - neither Cowher nor Tomlin. Coaches should have been fired after the Jacksonville home playoff loss, 2017. We underachieved for years, that is the bigger frustration with some of us. we are now rebuilding. could be a while.....

If Watt stays healthy... there's a good chance Steelers will be in the playoffs in 2023. Not saying they will win a playoff game... but they should make some noise in the AFC. AFC North is gonna be weaker... with Ravens possibly losing LJ, Bengals losing players to free agency and Browns being the Browns.

Ben is a large part of why they have fallen short. His playoff performances were lacking for a QB of his abilities.

I think very few of us would have been upset to see them move on from Tomlin after that loss but he was far from the only reason this teams dismal playoff record over recent years.

Everything will hinge on if Pickett is the guy, if he’s not, will be a while because they won’t give up on him quickly. I like the pieces they have around him and on the opposite side of the ball. Big draft coming up, need to nail it.

The Bengals are not going to be weaker. They lost a couple of guys on defense, but they took a major step toward fixing their offensive line when they signed Brown.

Didn't they lose Perrine? That dude torched the Steelers.

Yep, the Bengals were without Mixon and Chase in that game, the Steelers couldn't stop Perrine or Higgins.

They did, but they still have Burrow throwing to three stud receivers and now they have improved their offensive line.
