I don't' care for the signing, oh well let's hope
We hit a homerun in the draft. I really do not like our CB room at all
    Now that Cam is gone.

Losing Sutton hurts bad. Peterson was good 4 years ago big downgrade. As usual we suck in FA

hope Khan has a bigger plan here.. first year we have some cap breathing room with Ben's contract off the books, and we let a good young CB go (with zero CB depth behind him already), and bring in an old veteran to replace him...

I thought Steelers would move in fa on this position.

Maybe Khan will surprise us and go after another FA CB. We can hope. They are better finding them in free agency then they are in the draft.

They brought Juju back and kept Ebron around on a restructured deal that same year. Hilton would have been much better value than either of those guys. Both were gone the following year after disappointing seasons.

They were definitely stretched that year but they absolutely could have kept Mike Hilton around. Maybe they tried and he wanted a change of scene, IDK

Let's keep our fingers crossed, we are no closer to covering Chas,Higgins,Boyd, with losing Sutton .we may have to double dip @ the CB position.? We need other positions also.

Random, but can we put in start off the thread players we lost and signed? Just because the threads being merged into this makes a mix of searching thru a lot of comments.

Obviously, they didn't want to pay a slot only CB 6 million a year, he struggles in coverage as we saw in the playoffs this past year.

Pretty interesting. It’s always funny to see perspectives outside of the fan base.

I'll be fine with the PP signing on two conditions: 1) it was cheap and 2) we add a better CB. Sutton was worth $22M guaranteed. Another bad decision at the position but I'll wait until it all plays out.

I certainly don't like having to go CB at 17, especially if it's JPJ. Kid is overrated but you know Tomlin wants him. We need to address the line of scrimmage early and often in this draft.

    *Public announcement*

We’ll keep this thread to discuss possible signings and what not but anyone that wants to start a new thread on a player that has been signed can do so without it being merged. I was just trying to keep things from being redundant, the threads are right on top of each other with the same thing being discussed in both. This thread is getting big though and difficult to keep track of player movement.

@Lambert if you want to repost the Peterson signing go ahead.

So what? Bengals just drafted 2 safeties last year and could replace them

    Not entirely true.

Who is to say that Edmunds or Kazee will return?! If that indeed does happen, I honestly don't see a better option in the class. Sure, one can get two players but that is two wasted draft slots. Part of drafting is maximizing the value of those picks. Given the fact that Brian Branch is easily one of the safest prospects in the class, I would not mind it personally.

...and there's about a zero percent chance either will be nearly as good as Jessie Bates.
