So you think were only a QB away? Now we are in the hunt? Nah dude, even after this draft with some great capital to work we are still down.

We have been hemorrhaging stud players for years now starting (and still not fully recovered from) Shazier, and then Bell, then AB, then Tuitt. (Not mentioning Hargrave, Hilton, and Dupree) And none of those guys were replaced with a better player. Forget who retired.

Never mind missing out in a major way with Artie Burns, Jamier Jones, and Devin Bush. Terrel Edmunds???

There is still so much more restocking to do and need more horses than just this years draft. It needs to be parlayed into the next draft.

    I hate waiting too…

Find it interesting nobody has mentioned the article or the really good debate points mentioned under that article by the readers in the comment section.

    Great stuff.

I sure the hell understand being bitter. I'm not kidding when I say it took me a good 10 years to get over an October evening in 1992. I hated everything Atlanta for years. Now the city of Boston has that pleasure

I’m not remembering this ATLANTA game that you are referencing. Probably a good thing.

As well as still smarting over the Dallas Super Bowl we lost because of O’Donell and the Packers Super Bowl, another one that sticks in my craw big time is the AFC Championship game against New England when we had Cordell Stewart and we were the best in the AFC that year and it was like New England knew every play we had and what we were going to do and put a whooping on us.

Then two years later spy gate came out exposing their cheating tape methods. I’m convinced we were spied on. Change my mind, I defy anyone…

I got to know Sid Bream years later when his daughter and mine became good friends in school. He told me that if he would have been out at the plate the Braves would have had to play a pitcher in the outfield because they had used all of their bench players.

I would be ok with that if no elite OT was available and we get good value trading down.

Agree with idea that trading down is a real possibility this time around even though we have no history of doing that as far as I remember.

It seems to fit the situation to trade down, but if who we want is there at 17, it`s not happening.

THIS is correct, hence - why I would have moved on from Tomlin, back in 2018, 2019.

that said - we have no idea today what a window is. We are not Top 5 on either side of the ball. maybe not even top 10 on D.....LOTS of work to do.

that window is more like .... a peep hole...

Agree on Tomlin. Steelers need a HC with a background in offense. If there is a window for the Steelers, it will start in 2024. I don't see Steelers filling all the holes in 1 year. Steelers need LT, LG, SS, ILB, OLB, DE, CB.

Losing to the Jaguars in 2017 playoffs was not a total shock. Jags destroyed the Steelers that year in the regular season at Heinz Field. Steelers were the worst 13-3 team of all time in 2017. They sand bagged wins against backup QBs.... avoided Rodgers, Watson, Luck, etc. 13-3 was a mirage.

Window shmindow. Things change from season to season. A team that sucked last season could have a great season the next.

Steelers have been exceptionally mediocre for a while now. It's the one thing they are consistent at.

I have a friend who still talks about that season the same way you do. Then we always remember that backup QB's and lesser QB's only whip us in the Playoffs.;)

Steelers lose Watt...it all goes to crap. I wouldn't whine if Steelers got edge rusher early in the draft, somewhere in the first 3 picks... or bring back Dupree.

OLB would be more helpful than WR at this point.
