I like the idea of trading back a little in picks 17 and 32 while hopefully getting a couple guys they like to get FUTURE draft high picks.

We are now in a 3-4(5) year Super Bowl window. If if we hit home runs in our first 3 picks this year and staying where we are, I still don’t see us making a Super Bowl run.

But with our young stars still on rookie deals and maturing AND waiting to see if last years O-line keeps trending up a little bit next year - THEN next draft we go all in with this years trade capital and gaining better capital to really make a Super Bowl run in 2024-25 with young guys hitting their prime and TJ and Fitz in their tail prime.

Long game here not a sprint. We aren’t in that position. Chess moves in this marathon to sprint at the putt 2 or 3 years from now. We need to keep stacking talent now for a brighter long term future.

If they trade back I hope it’s at 17 and pick up another 2nd rd pick. Having three 2’s would be really nice and make that gap between 5th and 7th rd less painful.

I am not sure the Steelers know what a window is. It seems like they are comfortable with the A/C on and keeping the windows shut with 9-8 records. They need an A+ draft this year, with 3 starters replacing 3 average positions. If they do that, and Pickett develops. then I would say the window opens.

Steelers had a relevant Super Bowl window from 2014-2018. 5 seasons and 5 opportunities... and they blew it.

I honestly couldn’t care less about the lack of a 5th or 6th round pick. The vast majority of those guys don’t do anything in the nfl. Trading back from 17 and picking up another second however is an entirely different story

i don't see that happening again. Either they're successful or they clean house. I think they expect clear improvement this year and being in contention starting 2024 through 2027 (KP's third year and new deal).

Sb window is open now. Pickett is going to have a burrow "LIKE" jump which means he WONT be joe burrow, but yet he will perform just like him.

I want them to trade up from #17 with their 3rd round pick and get one of the 3 elite LTs in the draft. I believe the Gap from the Elite LTs in the draft to the rest of the LTs in the draft is worth giving up the 3rd(80) pick.

I would rather have 1 elite LT then a (3rd)Green and (4th)Moore combo on the offensive line.

Is it a fair comparison this year to have a Picket vs Jones debate on who the best QB is? For me that is my Kenny Bar this year; I want him to be better than Mac Jones in 2023.

Get over that Bar and then we can start looking at Joe Burrow.

Looking at a draft value chart out 3rd at best might give us the opportunity to move up maybe 2 spots

The 3rd(80) is valued at 190 points.

It takes 50 points to move up 1 slot, so maybe go from 17 to 13 is possible. So they don't get their pick of the 3 LTs, they get the one who is still on the board at 13 or 14.

Look at a Mock and you will see the 3rd LT is always taken between 13 and 16. When the Steelers go on the board at 17 the big 3 LTs are gone.

I think them trading #32 is more likely, they will probably get a lot of calls for that pick, one of them might be too good to pass up.

That Jaguars game still infuriates me whenever I think about it. More than the two Denver losses to Teeboo and Manning.

We should have beat Denver with Manning...if only our punt returner/wr AB wasn't out, and out 1st, and 2nd rb (Bell, and D. Williams)wasn't out. That was super bad luck.

You’re not the sharpest tool in the shed are you? You can come up with 100 names and there are literally thousands that didn’t do anything in the nfl.. as I said before the vast majority. Do you understand what those two words mean?

And we still almost won. But because of the injuries to our stars I can forgive that game.

Teeboo and then Blake Bortals hanging 45 points on us???! That’s too much to handle.

How we can’t win a game putting up 42 points with a defensive minded head coach is a wound that won’t ever heal. Blake Bortals???

Totally… He’s such an outlier unicorn it’s almost not worth mentioning. I guess because Brady was mined from the 6th too that there is always a shot at one in every draft way down there.
