Not to mention the fact that he’s had significant knee and ankle injuries the last two years causing him to miss extensive time. His legs are 80% of his game. Lamar should have taken the $250 million / $133 million guaranteed.

This Jackson is not Mr. December the last two seasons. He depends on his legs as a weapon.

    Dec 12, 2021
    Pedal Ankle Sprain Grade 2
Jackson suffered an ankle sprain in Week 14's loss to the Browns. He missed the rest of the season

    Dec 4, 2022
    Knee PCL Sprain Grade 2
Jackson missed the final 6 games, including the Wild Card matchup with Cincinnati

Just being picky because the media won't tell the truth. The 1st one was actually against us.....or He just magically healed after the Steelers game, and then magically got the same injury the very next game against the browns.

Damn Ravens. Foiled us again. I was hoping and praying that they'd be dumb enough to pull a Browns and wreck their cap with an average player for the next 5 years. Should've know better, as that's a well run organization.
Although, NOT normalizing absurdly large guaranteed contracts for QBs is actually beneficial to the Steelers *if* KP proves to be Franchise QB worthy and it's time for his extension.

My take on how this is going to play out.....
Lamar is going to find out that the Watson contract was an outlier and literally NO ONE will give him anything near that deal (not that I blame him for asking), and he'll come crawling back to the Ravens.
With so many teams already distancing themselves, it appears that the process is underway.

The only team stupid enough to A) sign him for $45 million a year fully guarantied for five years and B) hand over two first round draft picks is Cleveland, and they don't have the cap space. Half the teams mentioned as "Possible Trade Partners" have already publicly declined.

    :roflmao:Holy crap that’s delusional.

Guess what Rat fans, you get two first rd picks and no players if some team decides to take him off your hands.

There’s another option, he sits out the year. I think that is very possible. He’s dug in on this. That will put the Ravens in a big bind.

He could, but that would be majorly stupid as he will have technically shopped himself around as a free agent already and have a pretty good idea of his value.
But then again, we are talking NFL egos so yeah that's definitely a possibility too.

If I read the Ravens depth chart correctly they currently have NO QBs under contract.

Can you imagine Richardson in the 1st to Baltimore?

Probably the best and worst situation for Richardson. Best situation because the offense wouldn't really have to change much; worst situation because he'd have to immediately start, unless they find a stop gap for a year.

Yeah, worked out real well for Bell. Although Jackson has more leverage than Bell being the starting QB.

They would have to trade up to make that happen. Richardson isn't likely to fall to 22.

WOW. I thought Richardson was going to be this year Malik Willis. Winner of the Combine Ball, but to raw to be considered by most teams as a 1st round pick.

Agreed....although I would take Him before I would take M. Willis.

Willis was considered a first rounder. We’ll see if this guy suffers the same fate.

Both have speed and big arms and both were considered raw coming out of college, but Richardson is bigger and he played Florida, not Liberty. He might be faster, too. I know there were rumors of Willis running a sub-4.4 40-yard dash, but I don't think he ever ran an official one that fast.

I was hoping the same thing, but as much as I enjoy maligning the Rats they do have a smart organization and don’t make dumb moves at the expense of the organization’s future. The old Browns are smart. The new Browns are dumber than a brick and they’ll be feeling the ill effects of the Watson contract for years to come.

Speaking of Mason, Baltimore would be a nice landing spot for Mason. He knows the division and there is a good chance he makes the Active Roster on game day.

Harbaugh loves to get EX Steelers to pick their brains.
