Beat me to it by 3 minutes. I erased mine.

Speeds of up to 104, weaving in and out of traffic, including on-coming traffic. Blood alchohol of teammate that was killed was .19.

Sure why not. Drunk Driving, weaving 100+ MPH in and out of traffic. Fleeing the scene of an accident where his teammate was fatally injured. Sounds to me like Team Captain material.

I love when the world looks the other way for athletes and celebrities. Maybe we could get Alec Baldwin to show him how to produce a movie or two while we're at it.

He'll still be gone by #15. Two misdemeanor charges won't stop that from happening. Talent talks...

Does anyone know what he's being charged with? Was the teammate in his car? These sound like really serious charges

Former Georgia star Jalen Carter, one of the top prospects in next month's NFL draft, has been charged with reckless driving and racing in connection with a crash that killed a teammate and a recruiting staff member.

Reckless driving...is like jaywalking in terms of NFL crimes.

Charged with street racing that resulted in the death of a teammate and a staff member. The driver of the other car has high blood alcohol. Stupid act on his part

Was he driving the car that crashed? If he was just in another car that raced this isn't a big deal.

not a shame for him. He made his choices. We'll see what he's ultimately charged with. He'll plead out and he'll be available for the draft

    Wow...just...wow

I remember reading about the crash at the time...but never heard Jalen was involved...Jeeps and Expeditions are not sports cars

    https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...len-carter-ex-georgia-star-nfl-draft-prospect
The Athens-Clarke County (Georgia) Police Department has issued an arrest warrant, obtained Wednesday by The Associated Press, which alleges Carter was racing his 2021 Jeep Trackhawk against the 2021 Ford Expedition driven by the recruiting staffer, 24-year-old Chandler LeCroy, which led to the Jan. 15 wreck.

    From Bleacher report
An investigation into the Jan. 15 crash that killed former Georgia Bulldogs offensive lineman Devin Willock and recruiting staffer Chandler LeCroy determined LeCroy was drunk and driving 104 miles per hour at the time of the crash.

Per a release Wednesday from the Athens-Clarke County police department (h/t Dylan Jackson and Alan Judd of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution), LeCroy's blood-alcohol level of .197 was more than twice the legal limit and "alcohol impairment, racing, reckless driving and speed" were contributing factors.

The school announced LeCroy and Willock were killed and two others were injured in a car crash hours after a parade celebrating the Bulldogs' 65-7 victory over TCU in the College Football Playoff Championship Game.

Left the crash scene before the police or emergency personnel arrived. The guy is a major talent projected to go in the top 10. Not a great start before getting drafted.

Does he have a past of other trouble?

Would be hard to pass on this kid, would fit a definite need and be a plug and play starter.

Still don't believe he will drop below the top 10.

Just a reminder the Steelers signed Michael Vick and embraced him in the black and gold. I have 2 dogs.

We signed Vick. He did time in prison. This guy won't spend a day in jail so what's the big deal

Couldn't agree more. Kid is still going super early. No way two misdemeanor charges (where he was neither driving drunk nor was he operating the vehicle that crashed) changes that.

The guy would be alive if this player wasn't being a douche. He was very drunk as well.

If a guy was killed in the car because of reckless driving.... it then becomes involuntary manslaughter....if He was driving.
