I’m generally opposed to giving up high draft picks and big dollars to get a player. Setting that aside, even if I were ok with that type of move I feel like making a move like trading for Ramsey now would be a year too soon.

My question is ... can we find another dynamic wr in this year's draft?

Ok, I’ll be that guy but he was just released. His starting career has two be over. I’d take him as a backup for sure. Question is does he know his starting career is over.

Why is it over? He's only 30 and played 6.5 seasons. His worst year statistically is still better than a lot of QBs: 62.3% cmp, 11 TD, 9 INT.

Career stats: 62.6 Comp, 151 TDs to 66 INTs

He should know it by now, but unless they can get him very cheap, less than they are scheduled to pay Trubisky, I would pass. He is a turnover machine.

This is what happens when you go by stats and not watching the games.

I suppose some desperate team with no SB aspirations may give him another shot, not sure what team that would be.

I thought for a while that Wentz might turn it around with a chance of scenery. He wasn’t bad in Indy in ‘21, but since he got hurt his “moments” have been few and far between. He’s 30, on his 3rd team in 3 yrs. He’d be ok as a backup, but he’s probably not ready to accept that yet .

I was going to say esencially the same thing. Numbers shmumbers - He doesn’t pass the eye test.

But a fine enough back up for cheaper than Mitch.

I would just keep Trubisky, Wentz rubbed people the wrong way when he was with the Eagles.

It depends on what round they want to take one, this class is kind of weak at WR though.

You'd rather have Mitch or Rudolph than Wentz?

And people talk about CEO's not earning their pay...

Where Wentz is concerned, the 30-year-old will now enter free agency. It’s worth mentioning, that Wentz actually signed a four-year, $128 million contract extension with the Eagles in 2019. Of that amount, he pocketed approximately $105 million with one non-guaranteed year remaining.

Surprising, it didn’t destroy the Eagles

Yeah, I'm not a capologist or whatever them call them. I wonder how they do it with the cap.

Not sure why Eric Biemiemy would start by releasing his only QB with actual QB-1 NFL experience, but Washington was able to walk away clean; No Dead Cap space and a Cap savings of $26 million for 2023.

Now, having Sam Howell and Taylor Heinicke as your #1 and #2 on the roster is a scary thought. I don't think Howell or Heinicke belong anywhere near the #1 spot on a depth chart.

Who knows maybe they are freeing up cap space to sign someone? If Gregg Roman was in Washington, I would have bet the farm that Lamar Jackson was on his way.

Wentz isn’t the answer either. They probably feel that Howell can do the job or that they can land a good QB in the draft.

Then he should be behind Deshaun Watson.

    (Someone had to say it.)

i'd rather they look at cooper rush instead of wentz, mitch or mason. the kid played well for dallas last year. 5-1 as a starter when used. seems like a guy that could get a team through a couple of games if the starter went down. price could be right.

Maybe they are drafting someone? This draft won't be like last yr. People will be reaching for qbs.

He is not right mentally and his physical performance is light years from what it was. I was never a fan and it would be a hard pass for me. I would even go that maybe he is teetering on his career being over.

Extend Trubisky unless a trade can be made.

That and I don’t believe he is coachable. I think he believes he knows better than anyone how to play the position.

He wore his welcome out fast his last two teams, that isn’t just because of physical capability.
