Liked the Najee pick was expecting them to follow up with the Creed Humphrey pick in the 2nd to finally get the running game back in Pittsburgh. It would have been Najee and Creed for the next 10 years.

My biggest miss of all time was Heath Shuler. I had future HOF QB written all over this guy.

Last year I wanted Sky Moore instead of Pickens; jury is still out on this, but it looks like I may have had this wrong.

Barely remember him haha He was a role player at OSU, never had too high hopes...but still cheered for my Buckeyes :)

Was hype af for Heyward tho :) Took my younger brother to the home game vs Miami (FL) where he got a defensive TD.

    Go Bucks!

I didn't like Hurts potential as a NLF QB, he struggled with accuracy in college.

The amount of time ppl complained about the Steelers letting him walk and they should have given him a better look. His pro career was less impressive than Big Katz. So it's nice to hear a serious OSU fan say he was a role player that is barely remembered.

I remember I wanted the Steelers to draft Bengals ILB Germaine Pratt.

Yeah, sometimes people fall in love with certain prospects and have emotional responses to not being right lol

He was a fine player at OSU. Cheered for him to do well, but never expected a star.

Katzenmoyer was a sad story though. Had a decent rookie season only to have a neck injury end his career the following season. Tried to come back year 3 but feeling in his neck made him walk away for good. A hell of a college player though.

I was excited about the QB the Steelers drafted in the 7th last year. I was SURE we got a diamond in the rough. Ugh. Turned out to be cut glass

That's right Chris Oladokun has more rings than Dan Marino.

Rudolph has had his opportunities and has not risen to the occasion. I'm not saying he's no good, I think he can still be a quality backup in the league. After seeing him play, I am convinced that he's not starter material. He may be okay for a stretch of games and can win a few of those if the defense is tight and there's a strong complimentary running game. I'm a Rudolph fan and I hope he finds success in the league so I think I'm being objective here. And I don't have to see a quarterback for an entire season to know whether or not he's starter material. Maybe Rudolph will go somewhere else and prove me wrong and good for him if he does. But he had his shot with us and didn't shine.

Oh, one more...I was wrong about Tom Brady. In all seriousness, early in his career I thought his performance was a fluke. The first Super Bowl he was sort of a game manager and I thought it was all Belicheat. The second Super Bowl he was a little better. But every season I kept saying that this is the year the "great" Tom Brady gets exposed as the fraud that he is. He's really not that good and the only reason he's been successful is because of the coach and the system that's been built around him. After seven Super Bowls I guess it's time to admit that I was kinda wrong about Mr. Brady, lol.

I will admit I thought Limus Sweed was the next great Steeler WR. I pulled for him his entire career. Thought he had the goods.

Really......So .....You know KFP is what???
How about Justin Fields, Tua, Mayfield, Burrow, Hurts.....I seem to remember You saying things about them.
Weren't You one that thought Trubisky would be good here???? Who actually did worse with this team than Mason did.
    Just asking...
So even though You got a few of them wrong.....You know for a fact that Mason is not any good???
I mean....I don't know one way , or the other.....because I personally haven't seen enough of Him, but unlike some ..... I don't crown, or bury a player until I've seen at least 3 years of play from them.
Like I said....I'm a huge Ben fan, but I wasn't sold on Him until about His 3- 4 Year.
Now people will say....what about Running Qbs.....well I go by History with them.....they have to prove it in My eyes.
Also I'm not saying You are wrong.....I'm just saying I don't believe anyone has seen enough to be totally sure.

What the crap are you talking about? Do you just pull this stuff out of your butt? What have I said about Fields, Tua, Mayfield, Burrow and Hurts? And when did I ever say that Mitch would be “good here”? I might have hoped like many other Steeler fans that he’d realize some of his potential in Pittsburgh but then he went out and reminded us all why he was run out of Chicago. Trubisky is a backup at best, like Rudolph. I think (hope) Pickett will be more than a backup and he’s already shown he has way more game than either Trubisky or Rudolph. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt that you’ve gotten me confused with another member of the board on some of your comments and challenge you to find ANYTHING I’ve said about the quarterbacks you mention above (outside of KP, MR and MT), really good or bad. Get your facts straight before you start throwing out unsubstantiated accusations.

You never said Trubisky would be good here???
    Never???
If You are wrong about one....is it not possible You are wrong about the other. ...., or is that a wild thought??.
Crazy thing is You say You know for sure about a Guy that You haven't even play a whole season. LoL.
I don't know how anyone could say that about any player????

There's your homework assignment for the weekend, STD. Go back through my posts and see if you can find where I said Trubisky would be good here. I may have said something to the effect that he has a chance to be good given his mobility and decent arm and maybe the coaching in Chicago was lacking or something like that. But you also throw a string of QB names out there that I don't recall EVER saying anything about on this board. Where the heck did that come from?!

Back to Trubisky, I was never a strong proponent of bringing him in but once we signed him I hoped for the best like most Steeler fans. I'm not sure I understand your point. And to be clear, I like Mason Rudolph and I hope the best for him in the next chapter of his career. I've just seen enough of him that, IMHO, he's a backup and nothing more. If he proves he can be a quality starter somewhere else, I'll come back hat in hand and say you were right. But I think he's a quality backup at best even though he hasn't played a full season. He lost his job to Duck Hodges and didn't show the coaches enough to give him a helmet on game day this year so this isn't something I pulled out of a hat (or my butt ;)). He's been given his opportunity to prove his worth and he's basically failed to prove to anybody that he can be a capable starter in the NFL. And this is one of those situations where I truly hope I'm wrong because he seems like a top notch individual.

I remember wanting the Steelers to draft WR Denzel Mims over Chase Claypool, but I was correct in wanting them to draft LeVeon after watching him play his final season in college.

1st....He never lost His job to Duck....I don't know where people come up with that.

Yeah. I won't be doing any of that, but that's why most people spout foolish stuff on here....because nobody goes back looking.
What would I be right about??????
I never said Mason was good.....I said We haven't seen enough of Him to know. Nobody in their honest opinion can tell You how good a Qb is after 10 starts. Nobody.
    I know this....
    As a Steeler starter...Trubisky is 2-3 with 4 tds , and 5 ints....
Mason is 5-4-1 with 16 tds, and 11 ints.
One has over 50 starts in the NFL, and is what He is....the other has 10, and nobody outside the coaches know what He is.

I never seen LeVeon play in college more than 2 games, but My neighbor at the times kid was a huge fan of His, and said.....Your Steeler got a great one.
