Raquel Welch passed away today at 82. Not exactly the best talent-wise but she sure sold lots of posters to young boys longing to be transported back 1 million+ years. Congrats on always keeping it decent Ms Welch.

Local girl. La Jolla high. Miss fairest of the fair for the San Diego county fair. Mojave's right, not the greatest talent but she lived a good life!

I didn't see Fantastic Voyage when it first came out, but when I did later in life, she was stunning in that.

Yes, I've heard this. Never seen the video though.

The Coolio video is a billion times cooler. It has a bottomless trunk! How do you top that?

    Bootys over swordfights.

Must be great to be able to steal (borrow) a already made song....take all the lyrics out, and talk over it/rap, and win awards, and be considered a great musician. LoL
Hell Coolio had another hit....when He stold the music from the movie Psycho.

Work in the mortgage industry for awhile. Only then will you experience real rage. ;)

Not angry. I have worked in music(playing out, giving lessons, and sitting in)for so many years I lost count. I just think it's funny. If I took someone else's song, and just added different beats, and different words....all the people I know would call Me a ripoff.
Yet rappers get awards for it.

    That's all basically true.

It does happen in non-rap music too, though not quite as often. I would say you're a little agitated about it at the very least. Obviously I don't know you well at all, but I know 2 things from your numerous posts.

1 You hate rap....rappers....etc. Everything about rap......

    2. You love Mastodon......like alot! :smiley1:

Other than Steelers related stuff...the above topics are things you have strong feelings about.

Actually in the early 80s ....I liked rap....I thought it was newer, and fresh. Within 10 years I totally changed My mind....because of all that I discussed, and described.

Thats becasue you were young in the 80s. Rap is a young mans game. :lolol:

I liked the 90's rap the best. Thats what I grew up on. It was harder back then. I think its just hard to do anything new and original in that genre.

That's probably because you read the story before you saw the movie.

Actually didn't read the Stephen King Novella entitled "Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption" just saw the movie but I placed the era of the movie in late 40's/early 50's, well before Raquel graced the big screen. Guess I was off a decade or so. Regardless, a great movie with a superb ending. :thumbs up:

Get busy young man. Time's a wasting.

But I know what you mean, I'm currently binging the X-Files on Hulu, never watched it when it originally aired. I'm impressed with the variety/range of topics well beyond UFO's and little green men. Digging it.
