    Hester should have been first ballot.

    Chuck Howley and Ken Riley should have been in the Hall years ago. I'm glad to see Don Coryell get in.

    As much as I hate Dan Fouts and the Chargers, I'm glad Coryell finally made it!

    He will likely get in, but you almost have to look at what he did as a Sp teamer and that being the only contributing factor for his entrance. Special teams is part of the game, and he was the best PR and KR of all time, but that still is a small part of the game. Other special teamers have gotten in, Ray Guy took a long time as a P, there are 4 PK in with 2 having careers as only PK's. Morten Anderson was inducted 10 years after retiring, Jan Stenerud 6..which means he got in on the 2nd ballot.

    There are definitely players who you just cannot ignore as 1st ballot, some get log jammed. While what he did a few plays a game was the best, at WR he did nothing truly noteworthy. JMHO of course, lol,

    Don Coryell...FINALLY :drinks::drinks::drinks::drinks::drinks::drinks::drinks::drinks:

    EDIT: Football Hall of Fame coaches John Madden, and Joe Gibbs coached under Coryell for three years at San Diego State. Madden and Gibbs were vocal that Don Coryell should be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Each man praised their former boss for making them who they were on the field. Madden especially admired Coryell, “He has done so much for football and is responsible for so many innovations in the sport,” Madden said in July 2010.

    Personally, I don't believe any special teamer or should ever make the HoF. How can you justify putting someone who is on the field 20-30 seconds a game into the hall?

    Like a lessor Hall of Recognition that could include best coordinators ever (even if they were bad HCs), greatest 3rd down back, etc.

    Same!! So happy for Air Coryell! Easily a major pioneer for Modern NFL Offenses and even today, some of his play calls are still being used... though heavily modified.

    Now just get Randy Gradishar and LC Greenwood in and we will be cookin! :cool:

    Hey! Zach Thomas should have been in years ago... so why not Gradishar?! He was one of the very first great Broncos players. Okay... technically Wllie Brown but he is best remembered as an Oakland Raider and not a Bronco.

    The Hall of Fame is turing into the Pro Bowl. Even Rod Woodson and Deon Sanders both said there should be a separate wing in the Hall for the elites of the elites. Why would they say that? Because they understand there are players getting in that should not be getting in. How is Ronde Barber and Zach Thomas in? They were good solid players who benefitted greatly from good teams around them. They were definitely not the same caliber of player of most of the talent that is in the Hall of Fame.
