Illinois CB Devin Witherspoon

6'1", 180. Starting to see him going in our area in a lot of mock drafts, in the 15-19 range. Many times to us.

 

I think he is more like 5'11 or at best 6 feet. He just doesn't look 6'1 to me.

But according to everyone without a bias, both scouts and analytics, it's looking like he is the overall best corner.

Or at a minimum, he played the best last year and has the best tape. If he runs a 4.4 then he's going to Detroit at 6

 

They will have his exact measurables at combine.

 

NFL Draft Buzz has his 40 time listed at 4.39. Yeah if a 6 foot tall corner runs a sub 4.4 at the combine then he will be long gone before #17.

After the K. Greene fiasco, would you go back to this well?

 

I think he will be long gone by our pick. I am seeing him as the number CB on a lot of lists. Would be nice to have but this draft is so deep at CB I would be happy settling for Cam Smith, Porter Jr. or the guy out of Oregon.

 

Cam Smith is My Guy for now. Of course I can have My mind changed.

 

How would you rank the top five?

 

I'm not sure yet. I'm still watching. Also a few tonight I want to see in the East West Shrine bowl.

See....so far My favorite is right on top. Cam Smith...., but it could all change.

 

I would take any of the first three happily at 17. I would accept the 4th at 17. I would be happy with Ringo at 49.

 

Do you like Cam Smith overall or do you think he is best for the Steelers scheme overall or both?

 

I think He is perfect for Us. Nice movement ,and can be physical . Of course....I can change My mind. LoL
