I see that the further erosion of the pro bowl now has Snoop and Pete Davidson named as team Captains? Manning brothers as coaches? Flag football? What's next? Ru Paul's gang of freaks as cheerleaders? I can remember when the Pro Bowl game was an actual game and an honor to be named to. Now, it's just a spectacle and has been for years. Honor the best players with an awards show and let this circus die, please. Just my opinion....

Dont know your age, back on the 70's ABC had a show called Superstars where individuals from different sports came together and picked 7 of 10 sports events to compete in, from bowling to track, it was a popular saturday watch in late Jan to march. Later they added teams, super bowl teams, world series etc.

If you are going to play flag football you might as well do something like that, though straining your groin throwing a bowling ball might prove to much lmao.

I vaguely remember something like that. Being the youngest member of the household, I rarely got to pick what was watched on TV.

Better not to play the actual game than what it had become with limited physical contact. But I think it can be fun to see them compete in other ways. Just don't expect actual football.

Brings back some memories! Swann was always poetry in motion that’s why of all of my Steelers heroes growing up his poster was the one I had hanging on my bedroom wall. Thanks for sharing!

I had to look up Lynn's competition...At the Mexico City Olympics in 1968, Hemery won the 400m hurdles in 48.12 seconds,[4] a new world record. His margin of victory was the largest since 1924, beating second-placed Gerhard Hennige from West Germany by almost a second.

I would, at the least, make a couple HOF players from the 60's or 70's as team captains. It would mean a lot to them.

a kind of hope a player gets injured moment. I wish no serious injury on anyone, but Derrick Carr has a guaranteed payment on his contract if he gets injured in the Pro Bowl. Oh how I want the Raiders to get stuck paying that 30 million against the CAP. Nothing career ending, just enough for him to get the cash, then refuse to be healed enough to play for them lmao.

Hmmmm...watch Pro Bowl or Scooby Doo's new Velma show with a 1.3 rating on IMDB. Tough choice.

Huntley would try to reach the ball over the net and not make it.

$40M guaranteed for Carr from the raiders come Feb 15th. Would seem that something needs to get done in the next 10 days.

The skills stuff has been entertaining to watch. But I'm going out to the disc golf course this afternoon to throw plastic around in the woods. As if flag football weren't bad enough, I just can't stand Pete Davidson. Dude is whack AF.

I remember I used to love watching the skills competitions the day before the pro bowl and then watch the game the following day.

I haven’t watched to pro bowl in years.

I don’t think the players mind what it has become, they get to hangout and just have fun with all the players and just have fun.

I watched a bit of this today. Partly because there was nothing else on, partly out of watch-the-train-wreck curiosity. What struck was how many people were in the stands, looked pretty full. I can tell you this, if I was in Vegas today, there is no way I’d spent two hours in the stands, unless they were comping my trip to do so.

Hahahaha! I just saw that Myles Garrett just dislocated his big toe in the obstacle course event earlier today. It could only happen to the Browns.

It's like a curse. If you look at the video, no one stopped to help Myles.
