No I think Lebeau is working miracles. I think Tomlin, the line coach and the ST coach need to step up. If we had Ike instead of Brown in the Charger game we would have dominated the backfield. I think Brown was the sole weak link back there. I'm not sure why mabe lack of experience but I digress, I'm not blaming him because he is old I'm only pointing out that his days are numbered due to age and Butler is suposed to be the next big thing. Our defense was very strong in this game aside from turnovers of course.

Well...with all due respect, I can't fault the defense or the defensive coaching staff for this season's lack of success. Sure, the defense has its flaws, but I can't think of another team's defensive unit that I'd rather have. With all the injuries this season, we're still ranked #1 defensively....I think that's saying something. Now could we be better than we are? I think so. But how much of that falls on the coaches and not the players, I'm not sure.

I'm actually excited to see what Butler can do.

The defense was playing great before the SD game and has been pointed out, you can't pin that debacle all on them. I don't know if DL changed things up or if we just got off to a slow start but after the first few games, the D came around. I was down on DL the beginning of the season but have to eat my words, the defense has been playing very well for the most part this year.

@Mac, not sure why you are dismissing Butler without seeing what he can do as a DC, but he will be the next man in there, they won't be looking anywhere else.

yep I will roll my eyes everytime Lebeau and Butler get attacked for no reason ....

I will again roll my eyes for the attack of Larry Foote hell he is the most productive linebacker on this team as of right now ....

and is on pace to make anything James Farrior did in a single season irreverent statistically ..... no need to believe me , go look up the historical stats and compare them to Foote's season he is putting together this year as the basis to any argument ...

    I will be waiting

first off i have never, ever said anything about DLB.

as for wanting butler, he hasen't shown me any reason to think he is capable of doing the job. our LB crew has taken a big step backwards. we have had no pressure from our LB'ers for two years. he will rarely play a young guy. if you think foote is our best LB then i can't take you seriously at all.

statistically speaking Foote has outplayed everyone ..I mentioned Lebeau because that was part of the initial discussion when you took it to Butler ....read the thread

    http://www.steelers.com/team/statistics.html

but hey no sense leaving the facts get in the way of you're otherwise sound argument ...

check the link above to the official team stats .. Foote leads the team in tackles , has 4 sacks and 2 forced fumbles ... exactly what linebacker would you care to compare him to ?

larry gives up alot of yardage after contact. he takes bad angles. the guy he's tied with in solo tackles ryan clark helps foote alot against the run. he's bad in pass defense too. he's familiar is the only reason he's here and starting.
