Are we waiting on Leftwich before we fire Canada?

The thing that concerns me the most is the run game of the Bucs. Without knowing their players, I believe they started the season the same way the Steelers did with regards to their offensive line, they weren't sure what they had. Both squads had new players added so they were both relatively patchwork. The difference is, by the end of the year the Steelers had started to gain some momentum in the run game. The Bucs did not.
I believe the Steelers have the better backfield but still, the o line has to work as a unit and open holes for the backs. The credit for that has to go somewhere. As we all know, credit to coaches isn't a big thing around here so how do you explain the improvement?
It's pretty clear that Leftwich couldn't get the run game going and at times he completely abandoned it so who will remain on the Steelers staff that will keep him committed to the run? You know, since all the coaches suck and all.

Maybe we can hire Arians to puppet-master the whole thing. From the suites, not from the sideline of course.

The sixth overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft, Herbert is now eligible to sign a contract extension. He is anticipated to command more than $50 million per year and become the highest-paid quarterback in the league.[/QUOTE]

    Wow. I mean, he’s good but…

I disagree , This is the NFL and there is a Lot of QB coaches and Passing game Coordinators around the league Worthy of a promotion to OC. There’s also every year 5-7 Coaching Staffs that’s fired so there’s that pool to draw from. Don’t forget the college Pool to draw from.

Also, no to Leftwich, just don’t believe he’s that good. First year without Arians and the Offense totally collapse ( maybe not totally) but the fact is it dropped.

If it dropped because Tom Brady dropped then wouldn’t the reverse be true, It was good before Because of Tom Brady.

I think he needs to show he can do it without a HOF Goat QB and/or Arians, and that experiment does not need to be with our current Rookie QB Lead Steelers.

This has to be the most resistant to change organization in the history of space and time.

One could argue that they are resistant to knee jerk reactions and unfocused change or change for the sake of change.

Not me of course but someone could. I still want to argue that there was no way Barry Foster catches that ball and holds onto it.

Had to see it coming though. They just won’t fire coaches under contract. So I’m not surprised about that.

I will be surprised if they don’t bring in help for him, someone to take over the passing attack.

I'm indifferent about Canada staying on for another year.

There was marked improvement in the overall offense after the bye week. Run game, pass game and OL were better.

I like not making knee jerk reactions. But there are limits. I agree. Foster wasn't catching that pass.

I will be surprised if they do bring someone in to help. If they do, then keeping Canada in the first place becomes even more dumb. Who wants an OC that needs a passing game coordinator?

I agree. I'm also indifferent about it, and I have probably b!+ched about Him longer than anyone. LoL. Remember I complained when He was hired as a Qb coach.

Well You could look at it as(if it happens even)...the new OC that is being trained in the way they do things, and getting a cheap look at Him while....letting Canada finish His time, and making sure the new Guy is who they want.
