So I will ask the same question I asked STD...because I don't think size matters as much as how aggressive you are. Would you have paid TJ especially knowing his brother's history??

Well, not as yet. Jackson is as good as he's ever going to be. His mobility will erode as he ages and his whole game is based on what he can do with his legs. As a passer, he's middle pack. We're not 100% sure what the Steelers have with Pickett. I expect we will know a lot more by mid-season next year whether he's good, bad or back-up bound. I personally don't feel he's HoF material or even All-Pro bound, but I think he can be good enough to take them where they want to go with the right pieces around him.

Come on blowout by Bengals, you can't win Ravens without Lamar getting that 100% guaranteed contract

Agreed....We really don't know what He is yet. We can only hope, and speculate. He has shown some good things.

Of course I would. I would never make a decision about a player based on their siblings health

Not to hijack your question. I would not have paid Watt. I would have tagged him, and it doesn't have anything to do with J.J.'s injury history. I just felt with everything they needed heading into last year and knowing their QB was about to bow out, giving a 29 year old T.J. Watt that kind of money was a little foolish. Am I glad he's a Steeler for a few years? Sure, but the way he plays, I don't feel like the Steelers will get good value out of that contract.

I really do think they were hoping to move on from Lamar if Huntley showed a lot of promise. Scrap that plan I guess.

Tom Brady recalls coming out of college

    https://www.nbcsports.com/boston/pa...aft-scouting-report-will-never-cease-be-funny

About a month before the Patriots made their franchise-altering draft pick, the University of Michigan quarterback took part in the NFL Scouting Combine. Brady didn't wow teams with his arm strength or athleticism. In fact, his 5.24-second 40-time was pretty awful.

His scouting report from before the draft continues to look hilarious 20 years later. Here's what Brady recalls people saying about him at the time:

    --Poor build
    --Skinny
--Lacks great physical stature and strength
--Lacks mobility and ability to avoid the rush
    --Lacks a really strong arm
    --Can’t drive the ball downfield
--Does not throw a really tight spiral
--System-type player who can get exposed if forced to ad lib
    --Gets knocked down easily

I thought the bengals only missed extra points when their holder was injured and playing against the steelers

II never understood the argument about using his brother's injury history. Injuries are not hereditary.

Until this year he never missed more than 1 game in a season. He only missed 3 games in 5 y ears. I wouldn't say that's being injury prone.
Injuries are part of football. It happens.

Before this past year, he missed 3 games due to injuries in his 1st 5 seasons.

1 game in his rookie year and 2 games in 2021.
