I answered your question, and I also answered my question for you, zero.
    The reach:
I'd have to reread your post again, but I think I understand it as you stating that the Steelers have been holding back Tomlin's coaching abilities.

"You mean the organization that refuses to pay assistant coaches and has had average to below par scouting and drafts the last 13 -15 years?? The Steelers weren't some juggernaut as you suppose they were just consistent playoff hopefuls."
I assume you're referring to the Steelers.

You might want to give up this conversation

He’s so far behind he doesn’t even know what he posted

Your first response made complete sense

I know exactly what I posted. I just don't understand why he thought my response had anything to do with questioning Tomlins' coaching abilities.Maybe you're a genius and can read minds or something and can tell me where its coming from since you know so much?? Because it had nothing to do with the context of the previous post. This is why I don't like people jumping in the middle of conversations.

I didn’t answer your question because I don’t deal in ‘what if’s’ . I personally believe that you don’t even have to look that far and John or Jim Harbaugh, Andy Reid, Pete Carroll, Jaguars coach etc could have all done better than Tomlin, but that’s an opinion. Nick Foles and Stan Humphries winning a SB have nothing to do with Tomlin losing to Tebow. They had one decent year based on stats. Tebow never did and got destroyed in the next game he played. Tomlin is an average coach. He has some good qualities and some things he is poor at. He’s never going to win another SB.

You don't deal with what ifs??? You're either a hypocrite or forget pretty quickly what you type. Either way you're clearly somebody who talks out the side of your mouth. That's obvious from the statement that Tomlin has done "below the line" work with the talent he's had. He's been to two SBs. That's far from below the line. Sorry.

And all those coaches you just named haven't been able to win more than one Super Bowl either.

He's just rambling. He's just throwing comments out there hoping they'll stick and is unable to substantiate anything he puts out there.

I honestly don't remember. I think you were reaching when you listed things that Tomlin has had to overcome like drafting, scouting, wages etc..
I'm repeating myself at this point, I have a feeling we aren't going to see eye to eye on this one.

Had nothing to do with what Tomlin has overcome. This is why I don't like people jumping in the middle of conversations like they were there from the beginning. The only thing you can do is look stupid, because you're lost on the context of the conversation.

My response was directed at the original poster who gave the impression that Tomlin inherited a Rolls Royce or Bentley...this team was not a Rolls Royce or Bentley when he inherited it. His comment is proof that a lot of these fans are still living in the 70s. When Tomlin inherited this team they were for the most part consistent hopefuls at making the playoff, but they weren't juggernauts. They weren't winning SBs back to back or every other year. They were 8-8 the year b4 he took over. People are acting like Tomlin has brought the organization down. He's had the same amount success as his predecessor with the same issues. He has consistently maintained what was already there. They've never really paid assistants and drafting/scouting was in the midst of taking a turn for the worse.

The only thing I can really say bad about Tomlin is that he has really never overachieved with a team and I've said that multiple times although he came close the year they started out 11-0, and the year he had Mason and Duck Hodges as QBs...and almost this year if they would have made the playoffs. He has only underachieved one year imo which was the year they lost to the Jaguars.

I hope non losing seasons was not his standard. Low bar if that is his standard. Winning the division, playoff wins at minimum would be a nice standard.

I found the problem. You don't understand how message boards work.
I won't question your knowledge and insight about looking stupid.
