Well, I didn't have it looked at by a doctor. I just self diagnosed it.

No, he isn’t. Watching the Bills look so vulnerable absolutely makes it more difficult to stomach the Steelers narrowly missing getting that last playoff spot.

Ok guess I missed some of the conversation. Thought maybe he was posting in the Dolphins/Bills thread.

I haven't seen a team play yet this weekend that the Steelers couldn't beat.

Exactly why you play to win every game

Shows the foolishness of going for a draft pick rather than building for the future

I started this thread to discuss the fact that the Steelers would have had a great chance to beat the Bills had they made the playoffs. It just vered off into a different direction.

Healthy and playing better each week. They had a great chance of beating the Bills, after that, who knows what could have happened.

    LOL you are a comedian.

When was the last time the Steelers scored 41, 34, 31, 31? Because I am pretty sure it was not this season. Oh, and the time they scored 32 points in the preseason doesn't count.

If you are wondering, we averaged 18.1 points per game, and I don't think that beats anybody this weekend.

True....I posted the exact same thing in the NFL Playoff thread. Maybe it would have ended up a defensive battle (altho unlikely), but if it was like the game was today I can't see the Steelers putting up 31-34 pts with a QB who has less than a TD avg a game, a injured Muth who would not have been playing, and only one wideout on the outside who seems to catch tds.

We have not beaten a good QB in the postseason in more than a decade. If you don't believe me, look up our playoff wins and the QBs we've had the good fortune of matching up against in those wins.

Our last 4 playoff appearances have been embarrassing blowout losses. Until this team shows it can actually go toe-to-toe against a good offense in the postseason (obviously can't happen this season), I'll maintain my belief that we would have been one and done if we had played this past weekend. The dolphins and Ravens put up good fights this weekend, but I just can't help but believe we would have repeatedly shot ourselves in the foot and had no answer for either offense. Maybe I've just become accustomed to this franchise showing up and getting shell-shocked in the postseason... I feel like every Steelers fan should be at least somewhat pessimistic about our playoff chances until proven otherwise.

You don't have a clue, bro. All I do all day is diagnose stuff from pictures. EKGs, x-rays, CT scans, MRIs. I bet if you sent me a picture of yourself, I could diagnose you as a clueless fool.

Technically you are correct. Other muscles are responsible for flexing the foot up and down. The ACL does stabilize the lower leg, and if torn, the leg is destabilized which makes it tough to bear any weight. Tough to walk on a leg that is unstable and moves around with each step, not to mention exquisitely painful.

The Steelers don't have receivers as good as Hill and Waddle, but they have a much better running game and a better defense than the Dolphins. I'm not talking about season rankings. I'm talking about what they were by the end of the season. I also have a lot more faith in Pickett than Skylar Thompson.

Correct but again, that all depends on the severity of the tear.
