Grabbed it off google and got rid of the watermark.

It's a painting done by Scott Spillman.

As much as it may annoy you at people overreacting to a loss, it annoys me that some people want to dismiss the frustration and tell me everything's fine...

We've lost games to Cleveland, San Diego, Tennessee, and Oakland this season. How can that not be a problem? At this point I would rather lose out for draft position.

    So you admit people overreact?

Sometimes yes... The truth is most people here either want everyone fired after every loss, and the other half want to say everything is ok after every loss and dismiss anything that anyone says in a negative light as "chicken little."

I was patient through some bad losses this year to TEN and OAK... but this is the 4th game we've lost that shouldn't have even been close. Cleveland is the only one that I don't really count because that was squarely on the guys coughing the ball up.

My question is, at what point is it not an over reaction? We've lost to many of the worst teams in the NFL this season... When do you start to say maybe it's time Tomlin started lighting a fire under some asses, and had a sense of urgency.

I don't have a problem with normal reaction. It's the fans that say stuff like " I'm done with this team" only to climb back on the bandwagon after the next win. If you're done then go. At least I'll give a guy like Edogg55 credit, he said he was done and I haven't seen him around.

It's also people who say we don't deserve to be in the playoffs, if we are one of the six teams from the AFC to make it then yes we do deserve to be in the playoffs. To say otherwise is wrong.
My personal favorite is the people saying weeks ago that we should just pack it in for better draft picks.

I think a lot of it comes down to expectations. I don't for the life of me understand why people are so suprised when we lose to a a team like the Chargers or Raiders? What have we done this year to give anyone the idea that we are going to destroy any other team?
At the end of the day we're still the Pittsburgh Steelers! Lot of fans of other teams wish they had a season like ours with a chance to make the playoffs.

Hey - the way I look at it, the sky is NOT falling. Think of it this way. If the Steelers end up backing into the playoffs - there won't be any teams with losing records to play. Considering this year's team - that looks like a recipe for a Super Bowl berth to me.

Being upset with the team and saying "I'm done" and this bandwagon talk... are two very different things.

I was PO'd to no end yesterday, and think this team really has some issues... But at no point did I say I'm done with this team. I live in Cincy and will often times be wearing my Steelers gear around town and get flack with people saying I can't believe you're wearing that stuff after that loss... To which I respond "I know you can't understand it, but I'm a fan whether we win or lose."

I'm not on or off any bandwagon, I'm here for the long haul... but that doesn't mean I have to just say that everything about this team is dandy, and when we repeatedly drop games to inferior opponents, sit here and think oh well it's what we do. That's not acceptable. And in most seasons it means you're not going to make the playoffs.

I'm not a knee jerk reaction type guy. Yesterday's loss was just piling on the others this year, and THIS is the first time this year I've started to think, maybe it is on the coach the way we can keep coming out totally unprepared. I like to discuss topics good or bad with a level head and not just shout that I'm angry when I am... which is why it rubs me the wrong way when I bring up a sore point and people say "oh man the sky is falling." Maybe it is.

I never said you in particular said you were done, as was talking about others who have posted that. You did say you want us to lose out for better draft picks and that's just messed up! I don't think everything is dandy, far from it. Just not going to overreact and make statements about the team or my loyalty that I will regret later.
I will comment on Tomlin though, I don't like him now or ever. I may be wrong, but he doesn't seem to be able to handle tough situations as of late. I'm not calling for it, but I would have no issue if they fire him.

Looks like we do agree on some things. I'm definitely not calling for Tomlin to be fired as I don't believe it's gotten bad enough for the head coach to be fired yet, but I do think it's coming in the future. I think the problems were seeing are going to either remain prevalent, or even get worse as time goes on. Ever since Tomlin came to town, these problems have slowly crept in and gotten worse and worse. I think the contract extension he received is his last.

Ok what is a normal reaction? i'm not done and I wear my Steelers gear after a crappy loss to show I'm still a Steeler fan. I get frustrated when it seems we can see the mistakes being made and they seem to repeat themselves every week with little change. I realize we do not know what's happening behind closed doors but I think it's good to vent frustration. Mabe we are spolied due to our years of sucess. Minus the 80's and this team is probably the best franchise ever (In my biased opinion). I try to be objective especially when I'm pissed at a loss and seeing red. I rely on alot of you guys for a different view. Where else can die hard Steeler fans get together from all over the country and share opinions instantly but here.

I do think the fans that say they are our of here until the next win are band wagons or so upset they lose their minds for a few. I think if they were bandwagon fans they probably would not be here. if you are a band wagon fan then find a new team.

I wonder how many under 20 year olds are confused by the Geico commercial where he is walking thru the "desert"...
    Wile E. Coyote... I.Q. 2000... "Super Genius"....
    And yet...
None of my plans go right!!!
    Gah.... Frustrating!!!!:lolol:
    But....
Bet your ass I will go right back to the drawing board, and try again...:hmmm::mail:...
Maybe I got that missing piece from "ACME", in the mail!
    Ain`t quite that frustrated yet...
But if we don`t stop shooting ourselves in the foot, with dumb penalties, and turnovers, I will start to feel like I`m holding that flimsy little umbrella over my head, against the 2 ton rock that is falling on it...
The key, with Wile E., ... Is... He Kept trying!!!
    We ain`t in a cartoon!
Keep chipping away, fix the dumb ****, and get in the play-offs...
And we DO have the talent to beat anyone, when we are clicking on all cylinders, and playing with the effort, along with the talent we have...
Ain`t saying die, till I`m dead... And I expect the same from my team!
    GO STEELERS!!!:steelflag:
