I’d withhold judgement on that until we see what changes happen this offseason. Last year the Bengals got there a year sooner than they probably should have by drawing (and barely squeaking by) a mediocre Raiders team in the WC round, and then beating a Tennessee team with a mediocre QB in the division round. They only needed to play one big dog, and the big dog fell on its face. Anything can happen.

I know, everyone is smarter than the guy sitting next to him, just ask the guy sitting next to him.

I've seen it done in combat sports with surprising accuracy. Maycee Barber at UFC 246 is an example.

Gotta love the old Internet doctors. What’s next you guys can diagnose injuries for people through the message board?

Well, as it turns out, Pat Freiermuth has a sprain, not a tear. So maybe it’s not so easy to diagnose through the ****ing TV.

I was referring to the drawer technique. The event I sited is related to your earlier response. Joe Rogan was commentating the fight and tried to make a spectacle of the exam but the doctor accurately diagnosed a partial acl tear.

There was a time when the Steelers were smoked by Indy in the regular season. That Steelers team went on to defeat Indy in the playoffs.

I think the Bills would probably win vs the Steelers. Why? Because of Allen and his ability to make plays running and passing.

I don't believe the win would come easily for the Bills. The Steelers were not the same team at this stage of the season than they were earlier in the season.

The Steelers would have an NFL caliber team chance. Similar to a punchers chance in boxing. A mistake or a handful of mistakes always leaves the opposition open to a loss.

The Steelers were playing better than some of those teams that did make the playoffs, the Ravens, Dolphins, Seahawks, and the Buccaneers. They only need to improve by 1-2 wins in 2023 to make the playoffs.

We've seen this many times in both directions. The Steelers beat the Patriots handily in 2004, then lost to them in the AFC Championship game. They absolutely crushed the Browns early in the 2020 season, then lost to them in the playoffs.

Usually, you can spot the differences in hindsight. In 2004, the Patriots were missing some key players for that regular-season game. In 2005, the regular-season game in Indianapolis was Roethlisberger's first back from an injury, and he played a hell of a lot better against them in the playoffs. In 2020, the Steelers' offense was clicking and the defense was healthy for the regular-season beating of the Browns. By the playoff game, the offense was sputtering and the defense had lost Dupree and Bush to torn ACLs that pretty much ruined both guys.

The Bills had Von Miller for that regular-season game and he is out. Pickett was making his first start and the running game was a mess. Also, the defense was without Watt and Fitzpatrick that day. I still don't think it would be enough to win, but it would be enough to make it competitive.

They only needed the Jets to make 1-2 defensive stops to make the playoffs in 2022.

Not this year. Doesn't mean we couldn't still have beaten a team better than us in the playoffs. It would've been fun to see how they do (KFP in the playoffs would've been something to see), see how competitive they could have been. I think they would've surprised people.

Its not far-fetched to think that we can compete very soon. Turnarounds in the NFL are super quick and usually QB centric. If KFP turns out to be a stud, we are a contender as soon as next season.
