Add a Pass Game Coordinator and somebody to assist Tomlin on when to challenge calls etc.

Sit back and watch Steelers go 12-5 and into the AFC Championship but fall short.

Steelers end up with a top 5 defense and lead league in sacks.
The offense ends up top 15 with a top five run game.
We lose Brian Flores but gain compensation picks a a result and go into 2024 with additional picks to solidify what has become an Elite Roster.

 

Wasn’t long ago people wanted to run Spillane out of town. He has his strengths and weaknesses but experience has helped.

Sutton will be expensive. Hope they can do it while already playing TJ and Minkah.

Edmunds should be team friendly or walk.

Sims and Boykin should once again be team friendly or walk.

 

Obviously there are upgrades to Edmunds, Sims, Spillane but you gotta have bodies to fill some spots when you have a ton of spots to fill. These guys are solid enough and should come at an affordable price to allow us to retain key players or upgrade other areas like CB and DL and OL. If we get a stud at ILB Spillane is solid enough to be a running partner with the guy as is Edmunds with Minkah. I would cut Mack as he is slightly better than Bush in my eyes and definitely not worth retaining when you need that money to sign Sutton and fill the DL out. I am really high on Drew Sanders out of Arkansas at ILB. I think adding him and a blue chip CB and signing a big name like Daron Payne and retaining Sutton would solidfy this defense.To me those are bigger priorities than the OL. I would have never said that at the beginning of the year. If they can pick up Vorheese in the second or 3rd I think he would be a nice addition at LG. I think they are much higher on Dan Moore than the fans are. I just think what the draft is offering at LT isn’t much of an upside over what we already have in Dan Moore. I don’t want to take a LT just for the sake of taking one when an upgrade really isn’t there.If we soilidify this Defense and Run Offense this team is going to be something special. That would take a tremendous amount of pressure off Kenny Pickett and allow him a mother year of development and then going into year three you really cut him loose. ON the passing side they do need to become more creative with the routes. Adding a passing game coordinator would do wonders, on the flip side how much of it was simplifying the offense for all of the young players on offense? I believe a full offseason will do wonders for this offense. Kenny strikes me as the kind of guy who will really work in the offseason to become better. He seems to be very cerebral and ultra focused on preparation. Very different from what we had in Big Ben who was all talent and backyardish.
