The Chargers have 3 backups starting on their o-line and Rivers has all day to throw that's why the defense couldn't get off the field on 3rd down. James Harrison step your game up we need more sacks from you, Woodley fat butt needs to lose some weight then maybe he won't have all these nagging injuries the last 2 seasons. LeBeau needs to be more creative with bringing pressure Rivers is a statue in the pocket and the Steelers couldn't get to him.

Exactly! we don't have any designs that gets a free rusher. I know everyone is excited about the number one ranking and the way the defense has played over the past few weeks but I still won't be sad when Lebeau passes the torch.

Who knows, but surely with the cap space we'll be saving we can improve the team in other areas. Stick some young guys in there and start doing some different things. In fact, get rid of Lebeau and bring in someone to run the 4-3

They are averaging what, .3 sacks per game each and costing us $24M...should be easy to improve the team by giving them the boot...

Why not? What is it with Steelers fans that make them so scared to think outside the box? I have never seen so many people want to stick with the status quo, even when it's not working. James Harrison is done. He's getting no pressure whatsoever. He's a gigantic waste of money. I don't care what he has done in the past, he's finished and it's time for him to go. Woodley as well. They bring nothing to the team whatsoever other than wasted money.

I don't want to see either of those guys go, but you raise some valid points. Honestly, what have these guys done this year? Harrison's had 1 strip sack, and Woodley had some lucky INT's at the beginning of the season if I remember right. Why not try out some new talent, these guys have produced at a below average rate and being paid at superstar level.

So, that would leave you Jason Worilds and Carter at your outside linebacker position which is your most important position in a 3-4 defense. And neither has showned they can be hold the position.

But i do think its time for Harrison to take a hugh pay cut or be gone. Woodley I would give a longer leash because we don't have anyone behind him and he's younger. He just needs a good offseason workout program and a nutritionst.

And a coach that won't tolerate coming into camp fat and out of shape. We need a disciplinarian rather than a coach who is best friends with all the players.

Rivers did an excellent job of getting rid of the ball quick today. Running a 5 yard out for the first down happens quicker than trying to beat an OL with some moves and sack the QB. We blew up their screen game with quick pressure and I think we would've generated some more sacks had we not been in so many 3rd and less than 5 situations. Harrison is looking better as he regains health in that knee. Woodley can be a beast when healthy, but that constantly nagging hammy is bothersome; not sure how he escapes the fandom ire while Polamalu is given the Duce Staley treatment.

Not to mention that Rivers threw it into the ground multiple times to avoid the sack.
