    I was right about…
I KNEW Kenny Pickett had special qualities that could allow him to develop into the Steelers next great franchise quarterback. I realize he’s not there yet, but he’s got a great start on it after an overall successful rookie season. I’ve been on board with Kenny since we drafted him and I’m looking forward to seeing the strides he takes in year two.

    I was wrong about…
I said early in the season that if Connor Heyward’s last name was Smith he probably wouldn’t have even made the team. But I’ve come to realize that that dude’s a player and can play an important role in the Steelers offense going forward. Very impressed with the way he stepped up in big moments.

What about you guys? Go ahead and brag about something you were right about early in the season and admit something you may have been wrong about.

I stated that Connor Haywood would not make the team. I was wrong. He was a great pickup

Let’s see there’s the blatantly obvious of being right about anything and everything I argued with you about. Sadly that’s too easy. I was right about the offensive line.
Wrong about Claypool. Thought he would be a monster in the slot, but he just couldn’t put it together.

I was right about everything. LoL
Seriously....I had only one problem with KFP....it was His hand size....I know He played in this stadium that way before, but not this late in the year. I'm not worried about it anymore.
Not sure how great He will be ,but He has show Me most the things I like, and admire in a Qb..
Let's hope He continues to grow....as a Man, and as a Football player.
I also was wrong about Heywards little bro.
I also was wrong thinking Spillane was a waste on this team.
I was wrong on My picks...I once again missed by a freaking tie.
Although I did win some money on betting the over on Wins in real life.:smiley1::thumbs_up:
I was Supremely correct on Mitch Trubisky.
That's all I can think of.
I feel like I've just went to confession. LoL

Do I recall us having some pretty good discussions about Kenny Pickett early in the season and, IIRC, you weren’t sold on him? I think you argued that he should sit his rookie season and let Mediocre Mitch have the reins. I’ll wait right here while you admit you were wrong and I was right. I realize it’s one season and he made plenty of rookie mistakes, but I don’t think anybody can say that Pickett’s rookie season wasn’t a success.

    Kenny Pickett's the real deal.

Tomlin is a very good coach.

I thought max 4 wins so horribly wrong.

I will catch all kinds of heat but I still feel DJ is not worth the money. I just dont see him being clutch!

Are you saying you were right about both or right about the first and wrong about the second?

I was wrong when we were 2-6. I thought maybe we might finish around 5-12. The fact that this team went 7-2 to finish the season was amazing.

this take by you really shouldn’t be surprising considering your affinity for the whole Q thing, but I’ll bite. What I said is he will start when he is outperforming trubisky in practice. Even provided a link to a report that he wasn’t outperforming trubisky in practice. 63% completion 7td 9 interceptions those aren’t exactly stellar numbers

I always thought Heyward was interesting. He's basically a TE in the same mold as Aaron Hernandez. If he can be a ST contributor and a good piece as an inline TE, then I don't see why he wont be a real part of our offense. He might even make Derek Watt expendable if he can prove reliable in short yardage runs either as a runner or as a lead blocker. Kid has great hands and is deceptively athletic.

I was right that we wouldn't have a losing record. I always thought this team had more talent on it than many think. Its a young offense, but I thought if they improved over the year we should have been a 9-10 win team. We won 9 (and likely win more if TJ stays healthy).

I was wrong about... Trubisky. I thought he would be better than he was for us, but glad that KFP stepped up. I realize he had a tough situation as the OL was still jelling together and learning their new technique and Najee was hurt (our ineffective run game REALLY hurt his ability to run the offense). But still thought he would be better. Never had any inklings that he was the solution, but thought he would be a just below average starter. In reality he is probably just a good back up.
