I’m not sure what you want. Do you want to rewrite the definition of a losing season just cause you can’t handle it emotionally?

Not always. Just when it comes to the Steelers nowadays

I like winning meaningful playoff games. I buy my kids participation trophies in Soccer.

That would have been fitting if Tomlins no losing seasons ended because of his gaffe.

Well, congratulations to Tomlin but honestly, I am sick of hearing about Tomlin's winning record

You can fire him tonight and his phone will ring off the hook in the morning.

Tomlin needs to get rid of many coaches but Mike gets players to go all in for him.

And I used to hate the guy.

I can see how someone like you would think that. However, as a Tomlin supporter I can assure you that is not the case. I’m proud of the way this team stuck together through adversity and played their asses off. We are a young team and the arrow is pointing up. Also as a fan of the Steelers I can acknowledge that 19 straight non losing seasons is an impressive feat.

What is pretty pathetic is that if we would have lost, there would have been so many so called Steeler Fans celebrating that we didn’t have a winning season.

I bleed black n gold, no matter the circumstances, I would never celebrate or wish for losses on the team I love.

Playoffs or not, I’d rather celebrate more wins in a season.

Fact is we played our @sses off this second half of the season and we got a great look at what we needed to build on next season. A good year that we got to evaluate what talent we have on the team.

people tend to forget that we should not have had a winning season the year after losing a HOF quarterback, the young offense that we have had.

we were blown out in 2 games this season. If you would have told me that would happen going into the season, I would have laughed.

I see many more winning seasons in the future. We will win another Super Bowl before these bottom feeder teams picking top 5 in the draft every year.

    Congrats coach Tomlin.

Sympathies to Steeler nation. Tomlin is always good for mustering meaningless wins.

    Worst possible outcome.

Keeps Tomlin's empty "never had a losing season" intact, though his "never saw a playoff game I couldn't lose and look bad as well" record is intact, it just won't grow this year.

We miss playoffs, slide down the draft pick order, likely missing out on any franchise OT, CB, or DT, and we keep Tomlin.

At least the Bears held up their end of the bargain. Sure, we can still hit on these lower draft picks, but as I said, chances of landing a franchise player drop with every pick position in the first round. Thankfully we have a new GM, so maybe we'll get "football" players and not workout/size wonders like the Artie Burns of the world.

Heck, maybe GM will make a shrewd draft day trade or two, I'd love to see that instead of simply staying put every year. Can't get a good player with pick 17 or whatever it will be, trade back to a desparate team and get a future first or second.

    100% this.

Whether you like Tomlin or not, the way they finished matters.

Pickett looks like he’s the real deal so getting him all these reps this year will help immensely in the future. Those of us who suffered through Cliff Stout, Mark Malone, and Bubby Brister know how big of a deal it is to NOT waste time looking for the answer at QB once you’ve lost your HOF guy.

Secondly, would you rather be a fan of the Dolphins who will be one and done in playoffs and lost 7 of the last 9 games?

Or of the Steelers who would have also been one and done but finished the year WINNING 7 of the last 9 with the youngest offense in the NFL and a defense that hasn’t given up 20 points in any game for last two months?

Steelers start season for the first time in awhile with no franchise QB. Have a rookie QB and a QB that is a back-up at best. Lose the anchor on D for some games. Have what esteemed members called worse O-line in NFL. A great FG kicker having a problematic season and a bad start. (to be expected) Finish 9-8 and our rookie QB gives us a glimmer of hope for the future.

That was a damn good season put together by the Pittsburgh Steelers!!!!! Believe that Mr. Tomlin and Mr. Canada will return and we will make noise. The AFC got some damn good QB's but I think Kenny will keep us hanging with them.

Literally no coach in the NFL with this roster would have done better than 9-8, and only Belicheck and Reid could even match the record. And before you spew some nonsense about MT’s drafting, we have drafted very, very well for the spots we are drafting from over 20 years.

Let’s leave this topic to the losers that claim they are Steelers fans, let them smack each others butts thinking they are alway right.

This post is for the trolls, no since in replying to people that would rather see the Steelers tank.

So why would you want better draft picks if Tomlin is so bad? Wouldn’t that mean he’d just mess that up?

It means you don’t root for the Lions, Cardinals,Jets, Dolphins, etc…. And a bunch of other organizations who can’t touch the Steelers. If you don’t see value in that then the problem is you and not the Steelers.
