Congratulations Steelers on 19 Years Without a Losing Record

Steelers haven’t won a playoff game in 6 years. This is awesome.

Coach of the century? Who wants to anoint Tomlin that? You think, maybe, you're exaggerating?

 

I’d tone it down brother. This kind of talk got a guy banned in the game day thread.

 

It’s not awesome. I doubt anyone is happy about that.

 

Of course he is. There’s a group of fans here that are just so bitter cause the can’t get what they want.

 

Kinda sad that all I have heard is Tomlin has extended his winning record! So I guess playoffs and super bowls are a thing of the past! I will take a 8-9 team playing next weekend than any damn 9-8 team at home watching with me!!

 

I don’t know Glenn a lot of fans on here seem really pumped up right now. At least there is hope next year with Kenny I suppose.

He actually might be the greatest regular season coach of all time. Guy is a wizard September-December

 

Of course I'm exaggerating. Just like anyone who believes it is some noteworthy accomplishment to finish 3rd place in the division and out of the playoffs is exaggerating that it is somehow impressive. It isn't and I'm not going to celebrate mediocrity, which is the standard that Tomlin and his fan club seem to be happy with.

 

He has a fan club? Like Franco's Army? Gerela's Guerillas? Must be a Pittsburgh thing. They don't show the fan club's banners on TV.

I really believe that the whole non losing season thing is way more important to some of you guys

 

Yeah, you're right. I would have been very happy with the Steelers making it in as the 7th seed. I'm just a little pissed at the new low for the steelers when fans are celebrating not having a losing season. And when someone wants to come at me calling me a troll, they're going to get it straight back at them with both barrels.

 

It's called the Mike Tomlin ball fro hangers club.

 

It’s not like it’s anyone’s goal heading into the season. It’s a nice accomplishment for the Steelers and speaks to their ability to almost always remain competitive.

 

Except they are not really competitive they don’t beat good teams and don’t win playoff games. They are better than the slobs of the league yes.

 

There’s no fan club. There’s maybe a few people here who defend Tomlin and want him to remain the coach of the Steelers. The Tomlin supports thing is a myth.

 

They were competing for a playoff spot in the waning moments of the 4th quarter of the last game of the season weren’t they?

 

The only losers today and the people who don't understand how amazing of an accomplishment it was for this team, this year to finish 9-8. Our talent level, especially at Oline, LB and CB does not warrant a 9-8 record. But we have drafted in the middle to end of the rounds for the past 20 years so our talent level should be down, especially when compared to Buffalo and Cinci which drafted top 5 and top 10 for 20 years.
I am so proud to be a fan of the best organization in pro sports; owners, coaches and players. The Pittsburgh Steelers continue to be what is right about pro sports. And we have a top 5 head coach for whom players love to play.

Back to my poorly initial point, if you watched this season, and are anything but an absolute moron (even a half-moron gets it), you should have loved the effort and how this team battled. All with the knowledge that without a veteran QB we actually will have cap space.
Now if you read this, or watched this season and are disappointed, you are either the absolute type of moron on I referenced earlier, or you are the loser referenced in my opening sentence.

 

What do you think the goals were for the steelers last summer before the season started? Did they achieve their goals for the season?
