I'm outta here! I can't handle all of the rose colored glasses people talking about how great it is that the Cowboys and the Redskins helped us out today by beating the Bengals and the Ravens. I don't want to read how we need to keep our heads up because we're still in this thing. That was a pathetic performance out there today. I'm sick and tired of losing to what is SUPPOSED to be inferior competition. We've lost to the Titans, the Raiders, the Browns and now the Chargers. WE DO NOT DESERVE TO BE IN THE PLAYOFFS!!! If we happen to back in by getting HELP from other teams because we can't handle our own business then we'll be one and done.

Our coaching is pathetic and when we come out flat against a losing team THAT IS ON THE COACHING!!!! We got manhandled on the field. We were physically dominated and outcoached throughout the course of the game. I'm sick of this up and down stuff that we've experienced all year. Enough is enough and I've had enough of these inconsistent pretenders!!!

After I digest this horrible lost I will be able to post something respectable. But for now:

-we need another running back. Dwyer is not the answer.

-offensive lineman are just not strong enough or physical enough to move people

-Curtis Brown will be a special teamer only.

-Kelvin Beechum is better than Gilbert at RT. I wonder if Gilbert can play guard.

-Why do everyone runs to there right and our defensive left? Ziggy Hood.

-if it wasn't for Ben's mobility, he would have been crushed.

-the chargers did exactly what the titans, browns and raiders did on offensive. Get at least 7 yds on first and second down and on third, throw the quick throw to our defensive backs that are line up 10 yds off the ball.

you would changed your tone if we make the playoffs and win it all. That's all it takes is getting in the playoffs. The regular season would be a distanced memory if we won the super bowl. ie. New York Giants. 9-7 during the regular season and everyone forgot how bad they were during the regular season after winning the super bowl.

But I do agree we shouldn't play down to competition but it's something we've been doing for a while now.

It's like we play the crappy teams like crap. Like if they suck we don't have to play hard. IDK it's just very fustrating. We are better than this...so I believe...I hope. :-(

Maybe we are not playing down. Maybe we are just not a great team this season. If we make the playoffs we do deserve to be there. I know you're frustrated as am I, but do you think it's right to turn your back on the team when they don't have a great season? Hopefully we can make it into the playoffs and catch fire, maybe not, but don't give up!

Whats the saying, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me? How many times do we have to lose to a bad team this year before we stop getting surprised about it. I don't know what it is, we just play like crap against bad teams.

    Happy birthday TTF!!

This game was horrible to watch.

The root of the problem? The play of the offensive line--poor run blocking and an inability to slow SD's blitzing. Some of the blitzes could have been picked up better, but a lot of the pressure seemed to be the result of SD players that are simply better.

Our team's inability to get even a little production out of the running game is, in my opinion, its achilles heel. I know that we have run well a few games this year, but in general we have been very poor in this area (currently ranked 24th). In the playoffs, if we make them, this will allow teams to be more aggressive rushing the passer--like SD was today.

My number one complaint is that the Chargers beat us in the trenches. Their beat up offensive line did better than ours. We came into this game worried about Ben. In the first half, he had some rust. But he didn't have any help. Running game was horrible. He didn't have a lot of time to throw. Receivers dropping the ball.

In the second half, the defense couldn't get off the field. Two bad plays by Ben. First, the toss to AB. Had it not hit Paulson, it would have been low. As many WR screens as they throw, Ben needs to know to throw it forward. AB chased the ball, he should have pushed it out of bounds. The interception was Ben trying to do something that wasn't there.

Overall, the running game has stunk since the Giant's game. The offensive line was terrible. Ben got better as the game went on, giving us hope they will beat the Cowgirls next week.

-I think Dwyer is fine...it's the o-line, as you point out

-I'm not ready to give up on Curtis Brown just yet, but it's obvious that we miss Ike.

-I actually like Gilbert better at right tackle.

-The left side of our d-line has been abused this year:( I would like to see Heyward in for Hood more often. Or, shoot, try Mclendon there.

-I agree about Ben's mobility. Were it not for that, this game would have been....worse.

I cannot understand how this team can win a game as big as last weeks and come into today's game looking so bad. Last week they would have beat any team in the NFL and today they would have lost to a 1A college team. The #1 defense in the league and the Chargers Achilles heal is the O-line and we can't pressure the QB. Where was the intensity today? I am very sad to be a Steelers fan right now. This team was built on hard work and intensity and I saw none of that today. What a joke! This team does not deserve to win another game.

There's your problem. You can have the best back in the world out there, with no consistent play from the line they ain't going nowhere. The games where Dwyer had his best performance were all marked by fairly solid line play. Today they were all over the place.

We have five decent backs - that's not the issue. I honestly thought the line was making progress, but they were simply awful today. How many plays did Ben make ducking out of sacks?

for the 1st time in forever i turned the channel and stopped watching. i watched most of the 3rd quarter on the 8 channel mix while listening to a different game.

this team is very frustrating. they just cant seem to put it all together. the last 3 weks the defense was great and the oline did a great job of protecting Batch. today the defense was not very good and Ben was running for his life from the start.

i figured with Ben back and the way the defense was playing and the slow but steady improvement of the oline, this team was ready for a big run. they completely blew it today and the only reason they have any hope is because the Bengals and Ravens both blew it also.

the Browns are only 2 games back of the Steelers. if their not careful they could finish in last place.

Wallace " we did't play with urgenacy" Ben, (when asked abought not going to Burris more often) "did you ask the coach that?" What is a coaches job, if it isn't getting these guys prepared to play, ..... srry we are gona half to clean house this off season. if the coaches are just going thrue the motions send them packing .

Speaking of the OL, I think it's time to cut ties with Colon after the season. His play has been mediocre throughout his career and he's just one of those guys that can't stay healthy for any stretch of time.

What a embarassing performance I left the sports bar early in the 4th quarter after Ben threw that int. I'm disgusted with this team this is the 4th loss to a inferior team with a losing record unacceptable.

I agree we are undisciplined and worst of all it doesn't seem like they are trying to fix the problems.

How did we go from a great defense, oline and RB to no run game a weak line and no rush. Are defense is closer to righting the ship but we can't get to the QB, we are not creating turnovers and our back ups really stink. Look at the Chargers line they kicked our butts with no playing time together and missing most of their starters.

I realize we can't buy a flag unless it's against us (I saw Harrison mugged at least three times today) but I can't fault the refs for our play. This is on us. Today we lost and got out played but we didn't blow this game like we did against the Raiders, Brownies and the Titans. I can live with that better than the other losses but we gotta get this fixed. Our Franchise QB will only bee in his prime for so long. I still believe that we don't have the on the field vocal leader and our younger players (Especially the WR's) don't seem to follow the examples that Ben, Heath and others are doing.

Mike Wallace you were not ready to play, no we you. You want this big contrat but as good as you are you are not elite. Your not even good enough to be Fitzgerald's ball boy. You (Mike have the talent but you are not performing. Please go put your head in the sand and shut up because you are not a true Steeler.
