Mr. Arians, for most of your five seasons as offensive coordinator, I was highly critical of you. I believed your departure from the team could not come soon enough. Though I disagree with some of the philosophies of your offense, it is now apparent that what you were somehow hand-tied. I liked the move to Todd Haley as OC, who has demonstrated success in two different places: Arizona and KC. But not even he could do anything to remotely replicate that previous success with the Steelers, despite the "talent" he was working with. The offensive line is a good part of the problem. The other constants: Ben Roethlisberger and Mike Tomlin. Something is amiss on this football team. But since I exhibited complete failure in criticizing you, I am in no position to criticize anyone else, specifically. This is a team effort as far as the offensive ineptitude. Plenty of blame to go around. I am so sorry that I blamed you, particularly.

I am positively certain that Mr. Arians jumped on the Steelers message board at halftime of his game to see that you miss him so dearly.

I'm happy for BA, never thought he was a bad guy, just didn't like the way he called a game. This is one of the dumbest posts I have ever seen on here though. In a season where our defense was slow to get going and cost us a couple games early, a season where our franchise QB was out for 3 games, a season where we have been decimated by injuries and you make a comparison between BA and a new OC who hasn't even reached the end of his first season. Pathetic.

    Coming from 12to88...wow just wow.

As an Arians "lover" or "apologist" I'm shocked.

I do sit there and laugh when Haley does the same sh*t that Arians did, but in the spirit of not stirring up trouble I don't post about it. I especially like the over use of screens and the 4th and inches with no fullback just before the half.

I am not bad mouthing Haley. I am just realizing I may have been wrong about badmouthing Arians. The comparison is this: both men are probably good OCs, who have struggled here.

    I agree.
Thats what Ive thought all along.

I always wanted to see what Arians could do if the O line could stay healthy enough to gel and build continuity and this team would get some discipline and stop committing untimely penalties. BOTH BA and TH are/have been hamstrung by both of these.

Part is bad luck (injuries) and part has got to fall on the coaching staff (undisciplined).

Glad you're all moving the the right side of the argument...maybe we can start looking to the players for accountability...they get coddled enough. Was looking forward to Ben's return, not thinking he would spot SD 14 points

Well Tomlin brought his team back last week against the rats with a 3rd string QB. To be honest I'm so damn frustrated with this team anymore I don't know who to blame. Sure Tomlin screws up but at what point do these guys do some soul searching of their own? You'd think player pride alone would be enough to keep them from making an ass out of themselves in a must win home game against a losing team. I'm totally at a loss for answers as I'm sure Tomlin is too.

No Joey Porter or Jerome Bettis in the locker room. Their importance cannot be under estimated.

I'm with you there. I think lack of player leadership on this team is a HUGE problem right now.

    Right.

    We don't have leaders.

    Our leaders are expecting leaders.
